Hello, I am back.
Golden eyes watched the boy as he crouched down at Klarion’s feet. He wasn’t sure what he was expecting, but it wasn’t that. He’d never seen… green energy like that before. Quintessence was usually golden in color. Or purple if it was negatively manipulated. Green was new, but it took the pain away like normal Quintessence should. He still couldn’t help but be curious about it though.
“Klarion.” was his quick answer to the question, wanting to move past it to satisfy his curiosity. “How did you do that? Why was it.. that color?”
Once inside Klarion couldn’t help but look around in awe. It was nothing like the living quarters he was used to. He bunked with five other Galra and had very little personal belongings. Though he assumed by now all his things were thrown out to make room for any new Blade member. They weren’t going to go looking for him, they never looked for others that had disappeared. They were always presumed dead.
“I’m not hungry anyway.” Klarion’s ears turned towards Shikadai when the boy spoke. After a moment of examining his surroundings he took a seat on the floor. “You said you were a warrior? Shinobi was the word you used. Do your people always start so young?”
"They do." He nodded before slowly sitting up on the couch, patting the cushion beside him in case the other wanted to sit somewhere more comfortable.
"When you are this young you have to decide if you want to be a Shinobi or not." He smiled sadly.

Once at their destination Klarion set the child down. Moving into a crouching position by a tree until Shikadai informed him he was allowed to follow. He wasn’t exactly sure why he couldn’t be see, but he figured it had something to do with the boy being afraid of him at first.
Shikadai looked around, afraid that his parents would have suddenly come back from their missions. Once he saw it was safe, he stretched and arm to gently place it on Klarion's arm, guiding him inside the house.
"Here we are." He smiled before throwing himself on a couch, letting his body rest "I would offer you food but...I don't know what you eat."

Once the child was situated, Klarion stood. Arms hooking under Shikadai’s legs as an attempt to help support him. His tail finally unwrapped itself from the boy’s torso and Klarion began to walk in the direction that was pointed out to him. “I’m nineteen.”
Shikadai hummed under his breath. He had really thought the other to be much older than he was. But eight years wasn't that bad, even if it did seem a lot to the child.
"It's here." He announced after walking for some moments. He looked around and exactly as he thought, the Nara compound was empty.

Klarion’s body was covered in a very thin fur, not really visible to the eye with the exception of it getting longer and thicker around his ears and the tip of his tail. The lavender colored hair was like velvet and where it got thicker it was still fine and soft almost like a kitten. His long tail wrapped its way around Shikadai’s waist in an attempt to help steady the child.
“Perhaps I should carry you?” The Galra crouched down. “You can just tell me where to go. I don’t know if you have a need for them here but where I come from I’m a warrior. I specialize in not being seen.”
Shikadai gasped as the tail wrapped around his waist. It was an unknown feeling, but not unwelcome, specially when he was basically standing on wobbly legs at this point.
“I’m a sort of warrior too. We are called Shinobi here but… I’m at a basic stage.” He smiled nervously. The boy then turned his body a bit while in the other’s grip and pointed with a shaking hand at Konoha “Do you see that village there? I live there, but we can enter my house through the yard, it’s all the way to the right.”
Klarion nodded when the boy pointed out his house. Golden orbs searched the surrounding area for the best possible route as he turned his back to Shikadai. “Get on my back, it’ll be easier.”
"Uh..." The child bit his lower lip as he looked at the creature, he weighed his options knowing that it truly wasn't completely safe to just go with the other. But so far he had been proved that Klarion was trustworthy. So the boy gently got on the other's back.
"How old are you?"
this episode isnt even trying to be subtle
Shikadai you are so cute 😩
“I’m not cute, I’m a boy.”
“But, thank you. I don’t know what I did to be cute, though.”

Once he was done, Shikadai’s breathing was labored and his hands were shaking. He had to sit down on the grass to take some deep breaths and to regain his strength. He knew he must have looked pale, at least a little paler than before.
“I-It’s my chakra…my…life energy, you could say.” He smiled softly “I gave you some of it, to help you heal. I guess g-green is the color of my chakra.”
Chakra? He’d never heard of it before. Though the boy’s explanation of it cleared up any confusion. It was Quintessence, this planet’s inhabitants must have had a different name for it. He carried a small vile of it himself, for emergencies. A sprained ankle wasn’t an emergency and luckily now he wouldn’t have to deal with it. The child’s tired expression was concerning though.
“Thank you, why don’t I take you home? You probably shouldn’t be out here all alone, am I right?” Klarion held out a clawed hand to the boy. “What can I call you?”
Shikadai was far too tired for the small amount of chakra he had used. He truly wasn't an expert at it like aunt Sakura or a genius like Sarada. But becoming a medical nin sounded truly interesting.
He debated with himself about taking Klarion back to his home, but he assumed that there was no better place, Konoha was his village, he knew that he was under the Hokage's protection should anything happen.
"My name is Shikadai." He gently took the clawed hand, admiring it, as he slowly stood up, trying not to get a dizzy spell "Okay but...you gotta follow me, no one else can see you."

“Ha! You clearly haven’t heard about the way of Jashin. Why dont we just forget about this whole ordeal and I just teach hmm?” Hidan taunted seeing how stupid the kid was. Though someone from such a family…There was no doubt he was probably a smart kid.
“OYE!” Hidan hissed glaring at the Kid but stopped himself with the kids following words leading to Hidan faintly grumbling. “Fine what is it? Huh? My first offer is still up for taking.” Hidan resumed his taunt but figured if the kid wanted some answers then so be it.
“I don’t feel like getting a lesson from the likes of you.” Shikadai smirked as he put his hands inside his pockets, trying to calm himself down and to actually get ready for what would be coming. He knew this man was not an idiot, he had managed to kill an amazing shinobi and to give his dad one hell of a fight after all.
“I read about the Akatsuki.” He tilted his head to the side, his brain already going over the plan “And I just wondered why would someone like you, someone who only follows this...Jashin’s sayings, bow his head down to anyone but him?”
foulxmouthedxheathen:
“Oye kid didn’t anyone tell you not to go grave digging. Its a sin ya know?” Hidan said almost pouting in response to the kid. While the other walked around him, Hidan merely huffed and relaxed in a stand still.
“Oh end me huh? HA! And just how exactly do you plan on doing that brat?” Hidan taunted raising a brow at the other.
“Seems like someone is after his Fathers attention.” Hidan said under his breath not taking his eyes off the kid. There was a good guess that this kid also had the same jutus as his Father with that damn shadow ability. God how that made Hidan irritated.
Shikadai stopped moving and greeted his teeth. He definitely understood now why people said that this guy was annoying.
“A sin, huh? Just like killing, right? Or does your little God Jashin allow that?” He arched an eyebrow, his eyes completely focused on the man. He knew that he had to keep his distance. The man’s jutsu was terrifying to say the least, and the boy knew that he was playing with fire.
“At least I seek my dad’s attention and not some abstract being’s” Of course his dad didn’t know what he was doing, he had made sure to fool his old man so he could come confront Hidan “Can I ask you some questions first?” He had to make Hidan talk, he needed to go over his plan, to go over his options and to make sure he remembered everything correctly.

Gaara sighed and nodded. “I understand….”
Shinki came into the room, his facepaint on and his iron sand around his body. “I had ANBU-San put our stuff together, father.” He said. Gaara nodded. “Thank you.” He smiled weakly at his son.
Shikadai slowly stood up and looked at his cousin with sadness in his green eyes “Are you both leaving now?” He wondered in a weakened voice, his hands at his back and his face showing the depression that was setting in.
thesonofsand:
Gaara sighed. “Good. I know my sister wouldn’t allow this to happen. It’ll be okay. You and Shinki will be able to see eachother. How about we plan for a few days where you don’t have any missions where you can come and visit? Ayara and Yodo miss you, too.” Gaara smiled sadly.
Shikadai lifted his head to look at his uncle “When...When dad allows me to see Shinki again, then we can make some plans. I just...really don’t wanna disappoint him.”
thesonofsand:
Gaara frowned. “I’m sorry, your father dosnt want what?” The Kazakage couldn’t believe that Shinkamaru would want that.
Shikadai looked down at his hands “He doesn’t want Shinki and I seeing each other again.” He repeated “Don’t get mad at him.” He asked “Mom is already trying to knock some sense into him.”
thesonofsand:
“What did you say?” He asked, setting his cup down. “What’s wrong?”
Shikadai inhaled sharply “Dad doesn’t want Shinki and I seeing each other again. Ever. And I told Shinki that and I...I shouldn’t have.”
