You know everything. Itās not fair.
I don't knowĀ everything
Itās not.
I know this
Nerd.
You say that like it's a bad thing
But Laineyyy thatās not fun.
Books are fun, there's so many adventures you can have right there from your couch.Ā
Mmm, maybe another weekend.
I don't know about that. You can have the clubs, I'll have my books.Ā
Every night should be a āstay in and watch moviesā kind of night.
Tell that to the you who tries to drag me to clubs every other weekend.
Feels like a "stay in and watch movies" kind of night to me.
The day Iām extra careful is the day that Iām dead.
That's not quite the way it works.
I am careful! You know Iām not used to icy sidewalks.
Which means you should beĀ extra careful.
If I had a dollar for every time I slipped on ice today Iād be so rich.
If I had a dollar for every time I told you to beĀ careful on the ice, I'd be even more rich.

To Defeat.... The Huns
Andrea had been in this constant state of limbo for the past couple of months or so. Sheād been on this weird rollercoaster with Alex, and although she loved him to bits and pieces sometimes he made her want to shove her head into the sand. Sheād always avoided her problems, and no one had ever made her talk about them. Everyone just let her sit and mope and watch Spongebob Squarepants for as long as it took for her to feel okay again, but Andrea had never been in a relationship where she had to talk about everything she was feeling. She didnāt like being put on display like that. It wasnāt Alex; she really did trust him enough to open up to him like that, if she did actually open it. But she didnāt, to anyone, and it was weird suddenly being expected to talk about every single little thing she was feeling. Andrea was fine with talking out problems among their relationship, but talking about her feelings was always difficult for her.Ā
So when Laine emerged from her room after only god knew how long Andrea had felt relieved, because she could really use her best friend at the moment. She just wanted her hair played with and wanted to be cuddled without any questions. Andrea sighed as she got up from her place in front of the toilet, flushing the remnants of her upchucked dinner down the drain and grabbing her toothbrush from the sink, squeezing toothpaste onto it and brushing her mouth thoroughly. Itād been a while since sheād eaten anything even related to pasta, but apparently her stomach was saying it was a big no; so no more of that. After sheād rinsed out her mouth with mouthwash she hopped in the shower so she wouldnāt smell like her barfed up food, washing her hair and body before hopping out. She wrapped her towel around herself, walking back down the hall to her room, pushing the door open and running a hand through her wet hair as she caught sight of Laine sitting on her bed. Andrea turned to close the door, before making her way over to her small portion of closet space. āGimme a sec, okay?ā she muttered, pulling on a shirt sheād stolen from Laine a long time ago and grabbing a fresh pair of underwear, slipping them on under her towel before dropped it so she could pull on a pair of Alexās boxers in favor of pants. She put her hair up in a towel before going to plop next to Laine on her bed, her eyes drooping as her head pounded slightly.
Laine lay on the bed watching Andrea walk over to the closet. She looked away as the blonde dropped her towel to get dressed, not wanting to invade her friends privacy. She felt a little awkward as she looked around the room, avoiding the urge to steal glances towards the closet door. Running a had through her hair she cleared Ā her throat as Andrea joined her on the bed, the sight of the familiar shirt making her smile. Laine missed times like this, when it was just the two girls and not a whole house full of strangers. Although, they wouldn't be strangers if Laine would leave her room every once in a while. But Laine had never been very good at interacting with people, and anyone who tried quickly gave up. But this hadn't been the case with her now best friend, the two having quickly hit it off back in grade school. Between school and summer camp there was never a moment that the two were apart. But lately Laine felt as if they were drifting apart, through no fault but her own, and it scared her.Ā
She shook her head slightly as if to clear it and pressed play on the remote. Andrea obviously still wasn't feeling well and Laine could only think of one thing that could help. The girl needed some rest right now but Laine knew that she wouldn't go down without a little bit of a fight. Luckily, having spent so much time with her and knowing her for so long, Laine knew just the trick to get Andrea relaxed and in a sleepy mood. She played with the ends of her friends hair, "Your hair is going to get all tangled while you sleep, where do you keep your hairbrush?" She asked in just above a whisper, not wanting her voice to overpower the opening scenes of the movie.Ā
To Defeat.... The Huns
After eating dinner with Andrea, Laine searched through her shelves searching for the movie. It had been hard to find behind all of the books and crossword puzzles, but eventually she saw it poking out from behind her copy of Wuthering Heights. Grabbing the DVD case, she huffed and stood up, straightening out her sweater and fixing a piece of her coiled hair in the mirror before walking out into the hallway. It had been a while since she had spent any time with her favorite blonde and she felt like this movie night was long over due. Making her way down the hall she thought about how she had been so absent in the house lately, but no more. Her presence would be known, starting with Andrea.Ā
Laine knocked softly on the door as she pushed it open, peeking inside, "Drea? I got the movie." She called out as she took a couple steps inside. After no response she shrugged and walked over to the T.V, sliding the disk into the player and moving to lay on the bed while waiting for the menu, and Andrea, to show up.Ā
Mulan is good. Can we watch that?
Of course, I'll bring it over.Ā
I know Iāve been nice about it before, but if you make me watch that one more time Iām going to barf out of boredom.Ā
Okay, okay.... what about.... a Disney movie? I might have Mulan around here somewhere.Ā
⦠I know, sorry.Ā
Um, I donāt care, as long as itās happy.
I think I have the suspenders documentary on DVD.
