A character who reminds me of Christine is Shinobu from demon slayer

I can see why you think that, but personally that's pretty far from how she's interpreted in the comics & art I have of her </3

Her behavior specifically is taken after girl ranma, or ranma in general. The two were based off of Ranma x Akane, but I thought it would be silly if I switched the roles in this pairing and Cuphead getting a taste of his own medicine

I realized that Christine has many similarities to Yor from Spy x Family. Which is great, but here's the question: Were you inspired by her in any way? If not, what was your inspiration for creating her?

The only thing I took from Yor when writing Christine was her strength and status as an assassin. Personality wise I based her off of girl Ranma from Ranma 1/2

How Christine presents herself to others is rooted in her ethnicity, which is Japanese, where she acts prim and proper all the time to be somewhat "acceptable" in society.

When writing her, I thought it would be interesting if her personality was against her design. Where she appears elegant, she's..... just a girl 🤷‍♀️

Cuphead is supposed to be someone who "breaks" this shell of her she maintains. Someone she's able to be herself freely with, which is why in a certain comic I made she's seen goofing around with him.

If you're referring to the version of Christine from @cupheadocscasino, that Christine basically lost her confidence and is unsure of herself due to... certain circumstances already mentioned in the comic. She's just trying to find herself now that, in her eyes, she's all alone again.
