So. I’d taken a bit of a break from fundraising to sort out some things in my life after a bunch of things changed. My plans are very different now so the timeline to getting my surgery has changed. To reflect that, I’ve removed the six month deadline from this fundraiser. In addition to that, I’ve also reconsidered some of the procedures I was thinking of having and have decided to scale down my FFS. Which effectively lowers the goal by $10,000.00!!! hey i understand that art is super transphobic but why are you calling the artist cis adjacent? isnt this more of an issue where theres like sideways harm torwards another group than saying that nonbinary people are basically just cis? or is there something im missing

You’re putting words into my mouth especially considering that I have on many occasions said that being non-binary is an essentially meaningless thing in that one person who calls themselves non-binary can be something entirely different in presentation and identity than some other person who is non-binary. They can both have completely dissimilar relationships to patriarchy, to their own genders, to their bodies, and to ‘cisness’. If gender is a spectrum like everyone says, than there are sections of that spectrum that contain cis experiences, sections of that spectrum that contain trans experiences. Imagine it spatially. Each person is mapped to a point on that spectrum. Or a point along a path. Whatever. And the point at which you exist has a spatial relationship to the point/division of that spectrum that contains cis experiences. Some points are closer and some points are farther away. Call me presumptuous, accuse me of being on some true trans bullshit, but when someone is flagging non-binary identity amidst their fetishization of trans bodies I am going to go ahead and guess they are not experiencing the same stigma as me. I am going to guess they have more in common with a cis person than they do with me.
