we have got to add storm drains to the labyrinth. i keep wandering it while it rains and by the time the rain subsides there is a thin layer of water on the floor. doesn't help that there is a small step down on the entrance, so there's not even a way out for the water. the smell of moss finds me before i even see it. it resides in the corners and dead ends and eats into the stone-tiled floor. in fact it's so common that more advanced wanderers can use it as a landmark. it kind of defeats the whole purpose of a labyrinth. i don't advise making the floor slightly angled, as it would 1, be expensive, 2, possibly throw guests off balance, and 3, suggest a direction of travel to wanderers. if we are to make an atmosphere of structure unbound by time, then storm drains are our way out of this conundrum. if we are to resign ourselves to time's unending trials, or if i had somehow misunderstood the design, then you may disregard this. i understand your fine balancing act between atmosphere, symmetry, and purpose.
yores truly,
