Rapunzel Der Sonne | 20 | School of Magic
Focus in Alchemy and Fine Arts
Forever friend: Pascal, her small chameleon who will most likely be on her shoulder or hanging out in her hair.
Rapunzel had been looking forward to finally arriving at DisU ever since she saw a definitive sign from the universe; a wild dream where she and Eugene were eating cotton candy with a human-sized Pascal in his dorm. Not perfect, but none the less, a sign! Eighteen years in a tower, two years in a palace. No time to do her own thing, make her own choices. Not like Flynn, who went off to get his education and go on his next adventure. And he made it sound so fun! How could she not want to go too?
“Papa, it’s college, a special college for people even like me,” Rapunzel pleaded at breakfast one morning as her mother quietly ate her oats and watched the two with concern.
“Rapunzel, we don’t know this place. This city is… it’s so far from here,” King Frederic said gently.
“But Flynn is there! He’s always looking out for me, Papa, you’ve seen that-”
“- and you can’t expect him to do it forever.”
“I can take care of myself,” she countered.
“But we still want to take care of you,” her mother chimed in, a frown places on her softly painted lips. “We never had a chance… we just got you back.”
Rapunzel opened her mouth to respond, but sighed gently knowing that it was a sensitive subject.
“Mama, I’ve been… living in all of these places that were never truly mine my whole life. First the tower, obviously, and then I found you both and moved here and my life really started, but… just because it’s starting doesn’t mean I’m still a kid.”
Rapunzel bit her lip and reached over the table to grab her mothers hand, which was a little too far a reach, and then she took her dads with her other, “I have so much more to learn and I think I need to do this on my own.”
The King and Queen exchanged glances. This wasn’t their first talk or their second about this school, in fact Rapunzel had repeated the mantra so much so that even the servants were growing tiresome of it. After a long moment, her father nodded gently and Queen Arianna looked to her daughter, “If you’re sure about this… then you have our blessing.”
Rapunzel let out a squeal that made Pascal fall right into her oatmeal as she jumped up in excitement. She hugged her parents, giving her father an extra hard squeeze that he pretended to complain about.
She immediately went upstairs to find her weird phone thing and text Eugene to tell him, but then… like… what if she didn’t?
Best surprise ever?

She was a week late, which was so not her fault! It was hard moving and hard to make her own decisions and she couldn’t pick what sheets she wanted for her bed.
Anyway. She was settled just in time for some Neverland Mixer her tourguide told her about. By the time she found her way around town and got to Club Neverland, she was more than overwhelmed by the people and the loud music. Like, really loud music. But it was amazing! It was perfect, everything she wanted, now to find Flynn.
After a few minutes of searching around, she could’ve sworn she heard his name, so she followed the sound and pushed through the crowd and spotted the three girls, and the guy with a hand on a boob and his face near the neck attached to them,
"Eugene..?”
