He can hear Ben impatiently revving the engine and he grits his teeth against the pain in his side as he tries to force himself to run faster. It only half works, and he nearly falls right over onto his knees again with the dizzying rush of pain that accompanies the extra effort. The only thing keeping him on his feet is Ian – beautiful, reliable, reckless Ian – grunting as she hauls him back up again.

i didn’t see this until now but it’s totally okay that it hasn’t arrived in time for christmas because then it’s just double christmases!! i only got anything from my mum this year and i pretty much knew the main things i was getting. i got nintendogs and shovel knight for 3ds like real grown ups do!! the only gift i gave was to my mum and i got her a big pink blanket with a mermaid tail because i thought it'd be cute but i don't think she likes it much :(
