Sam groaned through the coms, and Bucky shot him a look from across the bar. "According to the intel, tonight is our only chance to catch him. He never stays in one place for long, and this is the closest we've been in months. If we don't get him tonight, we'll lose the White Demon."
"I was in the same meeting, you know. And between the two of us, I have a better chance."
"Oh yeah? Because those years in Russia really improved your people skills, huh?" Sam snarked back.
Looks like Cowboy Steve x Shifter Bucky has won! The first chapter will be posted later this evening and daily after that.

"What are you doing on my land?" Steve demanded, trying to ignore the way his heart raced at their proximity.
"Just hunting," Bucky replied, his voice a low purr that seemed to vibrate through Steve's chest. "Though I must say, I've found something far more interesting than what I originally came for."
"The only thing being hunted around here is my sheep," Steve growled, pressing the rifle barrel more firmly against Bucky's chest. "You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?"
Bucky's laugh was rich and dark, like smoke curling through the night air. "Now, what would a man like me want with sheep when there are such... better prizes to be had?"
"You're trespassing," Steve said, but the words came out weaker than he intended, his resolve wavering under that hypnotic gaze.
"Am I?" Bucky's hand moved with lightning speed, closing around Steve's wrist. His grip was fever-hot, impossibly strong. "Or am I exactly where I'm meant to be?"
Steve sucked in a sharp breath as Bucky's thumb traced slow circles on his pulse point. "I should shoot you right now."
