happy birthday to every norwegian ever, hope we all had a nice day 🇳🇴
so this is my oc morten in... well, a bunad, specifically the rogaland variant, but i combined elements of both the feminine and masculine ones. just because. yeah
sometimes miis will ask me if it's okay to change their hair, and just for the hell of it, i tend to accept. just to see how it looks.
rune kept it like that for like a week bc the pastel green was honestly cute and i could see it happening, but tbh i changed mort back immediately. because no.
do you ever just wonder what it would be like with their ages reversed...
details under the cut
1000s Morten - Móinn, Mǫrðr, whatever else. Still not cis, their gender has always been a nebulous thing, which at this point they've just kinda given up on putting words to, and they've likely gone by several different names over the years. Used to do seiðr, ie viking age magic. Still has no idea who the heck turned them, all they know is that there was a "draugr" attack in their old village once. Very much a homebody, has mostly stayed in Norway this whole time. May also have accidentally slept through or gone "missing" for some centuries.
1700s Rune - Runar. The weirdo "troll" child of some Norwegian farmers. Despite everything, he somehow survived. Has slept through a lot of things as well, but it doesn't really bother him as much as in canon - he has been awake for longer. The religious trauma is amplified to the max though, people were Very christian back then. He was basically being treated like some demon. Whoever cursed him in the first place is still a mystery. Ends up befriending Móinn though, so that's neat.
1900s Bat - Natt??: A problem child of the 80s. His parents had emigrated to Norway with him, and well, he had some issues with it. A frustrated teenager who often got into trouble, honestly just wanting to escape the world in some way. Móinn may have been the one to turn him, out of some sense of justice. You know, just wanting to help. Especially because he was literally dying.
2000s Einarr - Einar: Still has the exact same taste in names, and thankfully, this is a name that people still use. He's a university student, definitely going for history-type subjects like archeology and such. He ends up becoming a vampire due to the hubris of trying to do some local research on his own, which should have been fine, but then he stumbled upon these vampires in the process. Obviously he was paying for interviews with them with his own blood, which should also have been fine, but then he got into a traffic accident, lost too much blood, and turned.
The other three had already formed a group long ago, and practically adopted him when they found out what had happened.
