colored a whole bunch of vampiric bat forms the other day!
mostly for potential thumbnail reasons, so some bits are cut off, and some bits are not intended to be in frame. it's fine.

essentially, most vampires in my lore get assigned any random bat species around the world that vaguely matches their vibe. there may or may not be a forgotten god involved.
(one exception is rune - the classic vampire bat is kind of treated as a default setting.)
they won't look perfectly like their species - often ears get a bit pointier due to the vampirism, and the fur and skin may take on very different colors. vampires as bats do not always blend in with their real counterparts at all.
meanwhile, in their human-ish vampire forms, their ears may slowly grow battier over time, matching their specific bat.
Rune: gay ace. doesn't realize it for the longest time though, so he just calls himself gay because well. still got that romantic attraction. he also has like no experience, so he figures that's all there is anyway. right? haha.
Einarr: aroace. just completely aromantic and asexual. a thousand years of no attraction whatsoever should be more than enough proof. indeed, he's repulsed by it. just leave him alone.
Morten: mainly aroace as well, though they miiiiight be slightly grey. it's super rare though.
Bat: he was 14 upon turning. but yeah, he's asexual for sure, romance absolutely gives him the ick as well, and he refuses the acknowledge the secret third thing. which is platonic.
as for the other flags featured:
rune gets the most classic pride flag of them all - the original gilbert baker one, because well. it just fits. he was born in the 1970s. why not.
einarr is a trans man. socially transitioned in his mortal time, physically changed in his vampire time. obviously it wasn't the terminology he used back then, but he sure is around now as an immortal thousand year old, and agrees that this does describe him.
morten is a certified flag and label hoarder, and is probably the one who knitted all these scarves. their scarf is the nonbinary flag. they're also holding the sunset aroace flag, the trans flag, and the demiboy flag, which... doesn't fully encapsulate their gender, but sure. close enough. their exact gender is wild, shifting, and impossible to pinpoint. a moving target, really. (honestly? what a mood)
bat gets the agender flag. in all honesty he's more apathetic about this gender stuff more than anything. he doesn't care much for labels, he's really just a creature. but he likes the colors so why the hell not, really. he's also totally okay with it/its pronouns, but doesn't really push for it. on his wrist he got the aro flag because again, colors.
