I haven't gone to school in almost 4 years because financial aid always gave me such a hard time and I just couldn't afford it. I recently found out that all the SSC bullshit I had to do because my FAFSA was "randomly selected" (aka your parents are undocumented lets make you jump through several hoops even though you lived on your own since graduating and YOURE A CITIZEN). Anyway, I got the email that my aid has been successfully processed and I got all my stuff taken care of and it's just a huge middle finger to all the anxiety this has put me through. I am adult enough to not be sorry for myself and go after the things I want. I'm not dwelling in the past anymore, I'm not feeling upset or jealous of people who've had it easy. This is my life, and this is what happened so I'm just doing what I need to even if there's extra hoops involved. There will ALWAYS be obstacles, there will ALWAYS be problems, and I will NEVER have it easy. But that's okay because I'm learning that even though I had to grow up really fast and handle things I wasn't ready for, I'm ready now and just so eager to live the life that the younger me always wanted me to have
