im posting this here despite the website being extremely white centered, I want people to understand how in this country it's basically ok to murder and victimize black people, especially women and children in the name of "self defense" and white America will reward you for your antiblackness.
I'm pretty messed up about that poor girl Juniper getting killed, as I am when any of my sisters dies. But it's hard not to notice the difference in response and outcry from the general public and the media compared to when the victim is a black trans girl.
It's like when that white woman got killed by ICE and suddenly everyone started caring and losing their shit, even tho it's been happening to black and brown folks for years.
Like, can we have some of this righteous outrage on behalf of black people too please?

Tumblr actively hunts down and deletes legit trans womens blogs as a policy but encourages and cultivates porn bots that use stolen trans sex worker's content. This is propaganda and affects how we're viewed by other users, makes our own tags unusable for us, is unfathomably transmisogynistic, and reveals a lot about how staff views us. Our bodies are a commodity that they want on their website, but our words are not welcome.

Please only vote once. I don't want to require anyone to submit their email (ew), so I'm going to trust everybody to be very normal and kind to their fellow voters and not do anything shady. PLEASE do not make me regret this.
The only required question on the form is to pick a favorite from a list of all of our living Gardeners. Below, there is an optional space for WHY you voted, where you can tell me who you voted for, why, and anything else you might like to. I'd love to hear who your runner ups were, if your favorite has changed over time, or if there are cats outside of the Garden that are high on your list. I'm SUUUPER curious for those of you that voted for The Dreamer in the past, as these polls only include current living members. These submissions will be private, but some may be included within the winner post.
You are also 100% welcome and encouraged to state your reasoning here within the replies and reblogs, especially if you want others to see it (or for me to reply!!). Campaigning for your favorites is 100% fine by me. Likewise, these may also be included in the final winner post, but I haven't decided.
