The rescue mission was over and Toni felt relieved but exhausted. It wasn’t easy work running from nuns. Once Cheryl was safe and in a better place, Toni found herself in the arms of her boyfriend. A smirk grew on her lips, stopping them in their tracks to wrap her arms around his neck.. or attempt to. She wasn’t even mad at the Antoinette for once. She knew he was just teasing and it was amusing. ❛ Jealous, huh? ❜ she wondered before tugging his shirt slightly so their lips could meet. A content sigh escaping her as she was brought back to familiarity with him. ❛ I don’t think you’ve got anything to be jealous about, Sweets. I’m all yours. ❜

BETTY COOPER !!

Having Toni present at Riverdale High had, at first, stirred mild jealousy, forced Betty’s guard up constantly. Slowly, as the days since the Southside kids’ arrival passed, the feeling had lessened to the point of disappearing. Now she was just Toni, someone she had begun considering a friend. Her additions to the Blue & Gold were stellar, she would admit. Her photography skills beat Betty’s and her articles were interesting, always particularly lovely to edit if she was honest. Yes, Toni had started fitting in rather well as far as she could observe. Speaking of, she had heard things lately since she had gotten back from her weekend away.

What a better time than now, in the private walls of the Blue & Gold to mention. “So… I hear you’ve been spending time with Cheryl lately.” Casual, an open invitation if she cared to continue it.

The tension between the pair at first had been hard to get over. Jughead being the reason, obviously but Toni wasn’t one to try on anyone’s man or even rub it in anyones face that something had happened. She wanted to be friends with Betty because the girl was interesting. Their personalities were different and she enjoyed that the girl had her own view on everything. It was something that she admired in the Cooper girl. It was nice that they’d eventually buried the hatchet and were now working alongside one another. They were quickly becoming the friends that Toni had hoped to start out as. It was easy to get along with Betty so she thought.

The question whilst they were working in the Blue & Gold definitely threw her off a little. Had people really been noticing that her and Cheryl were hanging out? ❛ Creeping on me now, Cooper? ❜ she teased before shrugging her shoulders. ❛ I think Cheryl needs friends.. more than she’s willing to admit. ❜

AM AMUSED SMIRK CURVES, and he knows she won’t think twice about wiping the dumb grin off his face if he doesn’t quit, but the liquor coursing his veins is making him find this funnier than Toni is. “ y’know you could just kiss it better –” dodging the swat he’s already anticipating. Idiot had been fighting again – FOR MONEY — fight club was all fun and games until he was knocked on his ass and concussed. And now he’s perched on a bar stool of the wyrm his sense of keeping their LITTLE ARRANGEMENT on the down-low was all but GONE.

Leaning in elbows rest on the bar, alcohol and cigarette smoke on his breath, tongue running the length of his lower lip, “ you seriously pissed? — c’mon T, it was just a little fun, made $300 from it –” brow quirking as he tried to sell this to her as anything but the IDIOCY that it was.

EYES NARROWED, watching all their dumb asses coming back into the wyrm. She was definitely NOT impressed with any of them but especially not Lip. He knew better than that.. or so she had thought but no, he’d proved her wrong. ❛ You know I could make that worse, right? ❜ she replied as she got a glass out and poured some liquor into it. The others knew that sympathy didn’t lie with her, they’d get their alcohol but she wasn’t going to act concerned when they were being IDIOTS.

Watching him carefully, Toni took a deep breath and gave him a look that told him not to test her right now. She definitely didn’t expect this from him, he was so damn intelligent. ❛ Great, 300 dollars in exchange for half your brain cells being knocked out? ❜ she muttered as she slid a drink his way. ❛ You guys are fucking reckless and you know I’m right, ❜ she added as she pulled away from the bar.

He cracked a little smile, because it always sounded weird to say he had a manager, even though Summer had technically been in charge of him in one capacity or anything for the better part of eight years. She was the role as much as she was his friend, and he wasn’t exactly exaggerating. Nothing got past her. “Good, too cliche anyways. I always imagined more of a Stevie Ray Vaughan death – helicopter into a ski hill after a jam session with Clapton.” Okay, so his rock and roll nerd was showing, but when did he ever bother to hide it? “Anyways –” a shake of his head, dark hair swaying forward. “Why don’t you show people your work?”

Planning on also having six Grammy awards too, huh? ❜ Her smirk growing ever so slightly as she spoke about it. ❛ Tragic death is always the way to be remembered... ❜ she added. Toni definitely had more of an interest in morbid topics such as this, it was clearly obvious about how she was participating. Hearing his question, her head tilted slightly and her shoulders shrugged. ❛ I grew up with a gang of guys who’d rather punch each others heads in than look at photography. It’s never really been something I’ve shared, ❜ she explained. But there was definitely more to that. Showing her pictures exposed a side of her that she rarely showed to anyone, her pictures weren’t just ones that someone would want in a picture frame, some were eery, others were uncomfortable and it was all for a reason. ❛ So on a scale of one to ten, how scary is that manager of yours? Also, what do you play? ❜
