Angel might be a little iffy on the physical affection at first, when he's just starting to get to know that person, BUT if said person can hold off on the touchyness until he's more comfortable then he'd be all about the hugs and handholding. PLEASE curl up in his arms and nuzzle your face into his chest to show you're happy to see him, it makes him feel lightheaded and gives him a severe case of the butterflies but he's so happy. A peck on the cheek goodbye might shut his brain down. He prays you'll be mindful of doing such things in public, he may never recover if other people saw him so red-faced.
What does this mean for your relationship? Angel develops a crush fast, as usual. And again as usual, he interprets the acceptance of his own acts of affection as reciprocation. Basically he thinks you're dating already, or at least that you feel the same way about him. He can be happy like that, content with your unspoken "situationship" for the time being, maybe just assuming you're shy about saying it directly and prefer to speak through your actions. He can relate.
Cue his worldview shattering when he sees you behaving the same way with all your other friends.
Ohh, he can feel that little green-eyed demon clawing it's way through his stomach when he sees you give a kiss to someone else. Was he wrong? Do you actually not like him as much as he thought? Was he just fooling himself into thinking someone as lovely as you could ever want to be with someone like him?
He'd have to excuse himself. This may confuse you, but don't feel too bad. After a few hours alone talking it over with his plants he'll be back to normal. He'll come to the conclusion that you must like him at least a little to be so physically affectionate with him, and accept all his gifts, and spend so much time with him... Right?
That's a good enough start for him. If you like him at all, that's his foot in the door to get you to love him as much as he loves you. He just has to put in a little more effort.
