“THANK you. I appreciate you not looking at me differently. Trust me, I wish I wasn’t his kid.” She hummed.
“BUT, you’re right. we should talk a little more secretly. I’ll be here the whole time, but I’ll be telling you and your team where to go like he wants me to. I’m sorry in advance if you find yourself in a dangerous situation. Know that I hope the best for you all.”
“THEY injected me with some really weird stuff, and it made me feel really nauseous. Asked me questions about my powers, and didn’t take me seriously when I told them. Then they told me I’ll probably be here for a few years though.” She mumbled, tracing over the blue markings with her pointer finger
ANGEL inspected the bottle. It was a kind gesture, but it wasn’t the same. “Thank you, dad. I’m shocked you even remembered what kind of perfume mom wore.” It was the exact brand and scent her mom wore. It was like her mom had just bought a new bottle after running out again.
THE feeling the scent gave her was overwhelming, as tears spilled from her eyes. There were so many positive associations she had with the smell, but the only negative one overwhelmed it. The thought of what she did ruined the positive emotions that used to come from having the bottle.

SHE looked at the book. She knew the feeling of getting interrupted while reading when you’re so close to finishing the book, so she’d wait until she was done. She wanted to learn more about Amara, tell her about herself too. In the meantime, she sat on the edge of the bed, just admiring the calm atmosphere that Amara presented herself with and how it carried into her living space. No offense to poor Lilith, but Angel was thankful she was working under Amara’s guidance. Lilith didn’t exactly radiate kindness, not to say she wasn’t kind, but rather that it was hidden. Amara was kind and tough equally, the perfect role model for Angel. She tapped on her own thigh while she waited.
