Papaoutai - Stromae This French song which was released in May has recently seen a huge rise in popularity in France. This is all the a result of meme that started last week revolving around a llama named Serge. The original version of the song Papaoutai, which translates to “Dad, where are you?” was written and performed by the Belgian artist Stromae. However, the song went viral last week after a group of French teenagers stole a llama from a circus and took it for a tram ride in Bordeaux (http://bit.ly/1iH5iH9). They, of course, documented and shared the whole adventure using their smartphones. The llama was eventually recovered and returned home by the French police. Shortly after pictures of the llama on the train hit the internet a parody of Papaoutai was made called Serge le Lama (http://bit.ly/19ABEiw) and the rest is history.

Early thanksgiving day present.
Haitian Love Songs - CocoRosie Poetic lyrics. Soft genltle melody. Strange noises everywhere. If you are having difficulty placing the genre of this song you are probably not alone. Cocorosie is in a small group of artists whose work has been classified as freak folk. If you like what you hear other artists you may want to check out include: Tune-Yards, Devendra Banhart, and the Dirty Projectors.
