A lot of y'all are really unforgiving of the kind of deprogramming / re-parenting work people have to do. And probably that y'all have had to do and forgot about.

And a lot of y'all are just as shitty to people who need a little extra help to get to a location as the folk who bitch about accessibility accommodations at work or in schools. Does it take Person a little extra work or time to get from point A to point B? Okay. Does that fucking invalidate their stance at point B? Does it negate accomplishments once they get to B? No. And on top of that? I'd rather have someone standing with me at B who has worked it through and wasn't just placed there by someone else or started at B to begin with. At least the struggler that got there worked for it and understands all the pitfalls and ways to fuck it up. The person that got to B the easy way might fold when B isn't easy anymore. When the bad guy at the door is your family or your friend. Or someone posing as someone else needing hiding. Examine your opinions. Figure out how you got them. Test them in scenarios. Practice them in real life.

Pretending that ethics is easy could just mean you're following somebody else's trail and your morals are not yet your own.
