i wish birds brought ME presents
No, but think about this.
The crows she feeds obviously have their own little lives. They go about their business, and they spot *pretty thing* or /unique thing/ in question. What gets me is that the *first* thing on their minds as recipient of this thing is the little girl that feeds them.
They spot a thing, and immediately must think, “that nice girl with delicious foodstuffs must have this to show my gratitude.”
These crows have a sense of fairness and hospitality—their friend offers them a gift, so they give her a gift, in repayment of her kindness.
Maybe I wasn’t made for anyone.

This is Sumaya Ysl, a TWOC friend of mine found murdered at her apartment yesterday. She was really sweet and funny, and a sex worker. She was a much loved part of Toronto’s Ballroom scene. According to the information going around, she took home a man (possibly a client) from the bar Saturday night, and was found murdered the next day. I can’t believe this is happening. I feel sick.
I literally cannot believe what I’m reading now. I cannot believe another one of us is dead and still there is no outcry for justice. There is no movement. This is where the movements for social justice for people of color, transgender people, and sex workers all intersect and we’re just going to keep on keeping on like there aren’t almost a dozen trans women dead in two months. A dozen trans women were killed in all of 2015. It is not even March. Y’all could wake up and I could be dead in a week. Rest in power, Sumaya, your execution is going to mean something.
hearing this is gospel for the first time: hey this is pretty catchy I like it
hearing this is gospel for the third time: [flails arms] 'CAUSE THESE WORDS ARE KNIVES AND OFTEN LEAVE SCARS [falls to the the floor] THE FEAR OF FALLING A PART [digs nails into the carpet] AND TRUTH BE TOLD I NEVER WAS YOURS [one single tear rolls down cheek] THE FEAR THE FEAR OF FALLING A PART
At my school we have to do something called an ALICE drill. Basically the idea is that if an intruder comes in with a gun it is better to try and escape or barricade your classroom door than just sit and wait for a the guy to come in and kill you. So this is the practice barricade we build in my class to fall on the intruder if he opened the door.
okay, seriously. What person is going to fall for a ton of kids hiding in the corner of the room when all their shit is on their desks, the comptuers are on. It’s in the middle of school hours. What. Fucking. Person. Would. Fall. For. That. This is an amazing idea and should be done in all school instead of having us hide in the fucking corner in a dark room.
They just implemented this into my school, and they said that if the barricades don’t work we get to throw stuff at them or go out the window onto the next buildings roof
Man, i’ve been saying stuff like this would be a good idea for years! I want this at my school!
#How about GUN CONTROL
THAT’D HELP TOO.
I’ve reblogged this before but there are some new ones!
These are awesome

Men: *have treated women as objects since like the beginning of time* Men: *literally rape, beat & murder women all the time* *a woman complains about men* Men: this is it….. this is what this world has come to. This is sexism. Men are now more oppressed than ever. This isnt the peaceful, loving world full of equality i want to live in. Feminists are destroying us men and we must do something about it before it goes any further. I am truly shocked & horrified.
me: *finishes eating something in my room*
mom 0.3 nanoseconds later from 2 floors down: why haven't you brought down the plate yet your room has gone to FILTH
judgmental farmer: why the heck did ya name yer dang horse Mayo, son?
my horse Mayo: *neighs*
What the fuck?
well pardner, I named my horse Mayo because horses are inclined to neigh, and “Mayo neighs” sounds like “mayonnaise” which is my favorite condiment. this kind of complex humor is hard work but so is farmin’, and I get a good chuckle out of it. that’s just the kinda farmer I am
