Killer Frost reacting to Caitlin’s clothes - requested by anonymous

Do you know if Danielle/Caitlin might be written off? I saw some rumours on it when I saw on twitter the images of them are pushing WA. Please clear this up!

I answered this a bit back, you can scroll down. I don’t see them killing off Caitlin. The majority of the fanbase loves her and Danielle going into the show was the best known actress. She has a huge fan base among young people, bigger than Katie Cassidy’s. But I don’t believe she will be written off the way Laurel was. If anything, Laurel was part of canon, Iris is part of it too. If anything, because this is canon as well, Iris is the one in danger of dying.

Are the writers going to kill off the character and risk being called racist by race baiters? I don’t know. It depends on how much they care about the quality of the show. Story over sjw pandering.

What's your opinion on the direction of the show? Do you see it realistically going to 10 seasons?

It could if the writing is persistent and flowing with the characters. Their weak points are the females and omitting fillers/useless details, but mostly the females, they don’t know how to write them. It reminds me of Laurel and Felicity. It’s neither actresses fault. No matter what you think about the actor’s delivery (which isn’t as bad as it’s been said) it always goes back to the writing. Because that keeps our attention and keeps us tuned in.

Some of the best stories I read can be studied, dissected in a human way. The emotions are clear and concise with a hint of ambiguity sown into the character traits. They fall off the hammock a lot with these writers. They stumble with their motivations and misconstrue their emotions.

I was told they have new ones so that means new styles and directions to go in. We don’t know the cards we’re being dealt yet. But yeah, I think it most definitely could go 10 seasons. It deserves to if it promises great writing ahead.

is all this fan service to westallen really hurting the show?

It can be when you’re looking at it from a writing perspective.

What are the great love stories all about? The story. The journey. The climb. Triumphs over peril. They aren’t rushed or forced. They take time to build. Do real relationships work this way?

Some use the argument that they have been friends since they were 11. That isn’t always the foundation for most. I believe the best love stories are built, usually on trust first and foremost. And usually love is grown throughout the years, beyond just friendship. And it’s actually realized. The argument that people were making at the start, if IW knows everything there is to know about Barry, then how come she didn’t know he had feelings for her? It’s unrealistic.

Also, IW never showed any interest in him at all, her heart was devoted to Eddie. That relationship took time to build (see where I’m going with this) they have chemistry (subjective but the heat is there), they were mutually interested in each other that way. At the start IW only saw Barry as a brother-type and her friend. Had the show kept it that way and maybe grown it out in development, I could then see some potential in them being something else. But right now, everything is screaming desperation.

All and all, yes it will hurt the show and the writers are putting a gamble on this work when it clearly does not. They don’t know how to write it, it’s one of the worst ships I’ve seen on a popular show. The fan service has been atrocious. Olicity hasn’t taught them a thing.

Do you know if Danielle is at all filming? I'm worried for her character this season...

She actually was, last I heard, which is great news. She’s part of the team, we rarely saw her in of 2B. Season 2 was kind of abysmal season in general. Most of the characters suffered. Seems like the writers may be starting from scratch.

DO you think there's the a chance we can see Snowbarry once they let westallen play out? Hate that ship, written so horribly.

It’s hard to say. But if the writers want to go in that direction, then they will. WA is definitely playing out and people just have to ride that wave until it comes crashing down. The actors are devoid of chemistry, the ratings might dip if they devote more screen time to it. I haven’t seen any unbiased articles praising it. It’s almost doomed to fail due to the lack of development alone along with the lack of chemistry. Snowbarry could have a chance when the writers actually want to give them one. Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg abandoned the show, there’s no telling when it will happen.

What do you think they are going to do with Westallen this season? (snowbarry shipper here just curious ^^)

Westallen will be explored. I don’t see it any further than kissing and some dating. There isn’t much to go on from a ship with no foundation to it. We were told from the start this is the girl Barry is obsessed with, and it shouldn’t be shocking this is the result.

We all knew it was inevitable. It was just a matter of how soon. The writers had no intentions of developing the ship. The fans are awful. The show suffers when they have episodes dedicated to them. The comics is the better story. The writers on this show have no clue. Their first ship hardly goes anywhere on the first try.

It need to play out, hope the soap opera doesn’t drown the story lines, that would suck.

Can we PLEASE get more backstory on Cisco and Caitlin? We barely know a thing about Caitlin, and Cisco’s family drama seemed interesting.

I want to see Caitlin dating Cisco in Flashpoint. IDK why -may be because she deserves happiness, and he (being a nice marshmallow and a pimpin’ billionaire) would not only love her, but spoil her all the time. Besides, I want Barry to get jealous :D And I want to have a second pairing/love story besides WA - just to see in contrast that WA is not the best outcome for Barry or Iris.

I wish Danielle Panabaker can speak freely about Snowbarry the way Candice Patton does for Westallen. It’s just terrible how so many of a certain group will call her a racist just for speaking about the possibility of Snowbarry happening. It’s just not right that one female can basically speak openly while the other is shunned because she will get so much hate.

I wish Candice Patton would speak out about the death threats and cries of racism Danielle Panabaker gets on a daily basis. I wish she would defend her online just like Danielle has for Candice in past interviews.

I can’t wait to see more back story with Caitlin’s mother. She is the only one we don’t have enough foundation on. We get bits here and there. Season 3 better not disappoint.

I’m worried the writers are going to sideline Caitlin - even more in Season 3 - to give more screen time to Iris. I have no patience for this petty garbage of female bashing. Both females deserve equal time. STOP disvaluing one to make the other seem more likeable. STOP decreasing Caitlin’s role on Team Flash so Iris has more to do.

Literally disgusted at the writers for the lack of Caitlin in the season 3 trailer. She is a great character that is being sidelined for the most boring, incestuous ship I’ve seen in years: westallen. Why are the writers so hateful of Caitlin? She is their strongest female character. I hope the best is yet to come and they don’t want to reveal everything with her character. We were promised more back story, it’s just sad how pandering the writers are being. I’m tired of the romances on CW shows being so botched.

Naysayers were saying Olicity won’t ever happen because of comic canon and look at Arrow now. There’s no reason to discount Snowbarry from happening for those reasons alone. Stephen and Emily’s chemistry is off the charts like Granielle’s (Grant and Danielle). They are almost the same ship with the most parallels. Felicity and Oliver even fight like Barry and Caitlin. Season 3 could be what I’ve been waiting for since the beginning. The writers need to explore the amazing chemistry between Grant and Danielle.

Most of my entire family ships Snowbarry and they all ask the same thing I do “why aren’t they together?” I wish I knew the answer to that.

I really think that Snowbarry has a good chance, I love Iris, but she had so many chances to be with Barry. He needs to move on! I hope Iris finds someone else though. Btw Caitlin in season 2 didn’t get much attention as far as her own story line. When are we going to learn her whole backstory and Cisco’s?
