I am perpetually dumbfounded by how thoughtless other Nintens can be. If I need to be protected, use defense up and cover me while I set up the necessary battle precautions. I might be a bit frail, but I dislike being underestimated by a friend.

It is nice to see more of the sun. I am hopeful that spring will bring more chances to go on walks outside.

Her mother had a point. It was rude not to thank the red-head for everything she’d done to help out on the journey to rescue everyone and save the world. Still, she had not spent much time with Pippi. There was just that time in the swamp, and the stories Ninten told about the girl down the way. Yet, here she was, feet planted in the frosted ground outside of Pippi’s house, a bag clutched in her right hand. She had to do it. She must knock on the door and talk to the girl.

Ana raised her free hand and held it near the door. She must be brave. It was a requirement. She had done brave things in the past. She’d left her home to save her mother, she’d talked to the Queen, she’d opened up to and come to care for people she’d never expected to meet, she’d taken down a gang leader and confessed her feelings for another human being. She was not a coward. Not anymore. She was brave. She was brave and this door? It was just one more obstacle she could overcome if she wanted to. Ana exhaled and shut her eyes.

The knock was sharp, but light. She had never had the most strength out of her friends, or the most drive to put physical strength into anything she did. Still, there it was. A knock on the door. She’d made her move. What happened next was up to fate.

Well, fate, or the usual social standards that created the obligation to answer a door when knocked upon. There was that, too.
