"Excuse me, miss." Haruka spoke in a confident tone despite her shivering, "Aren’t you a little cold out here..?" 

The girl with the blue hair only had a red coat with pink boots and a scarf, sinnoans.. they seemed to be adjusted to this kind of weather.

   As if on queue of Hikari mentioning things being "quiet", it appeared that someone had come to visit. Probably a challenger, she thought. Nobody comes to Snowpoint other than to challenge the gym leader. 

    Hikari shook her head, chortling, "My legs are a bit cold, but other than that I'm pretty good!"

     She took note of the girl's attire - it looked light. "Though you, on the other hand, look pretty chilly! You want a jacket? I may have an extra."

       Setting down his tea cup atop a small wooden table, a smile slowly stretched along the old man’s features. It’s been awhile since a challenger was able to scale the top of his tree-like structure, so as the girl stood before him, he couldn’t help but be proud of her.

       ”Well thank yeh deary,” the aged male chuckled as he got up from his seat and leaned against his gardening scissors much like a cane. “So tell me… Are yeh here for a challenge then budding flower or just here to seek the advice of an old man?”

Hikari sat down, glancing off the edge of the structure, admiring it's beauty. She had seen many gyms, all with unique designs and puzzles, but something about this particular one made her feel rather welcomed.

"I hope I'm not bothering you, wise sir, but I heard you give good advice so...I was hoping you could give me some," she smiled sweetly.

To A Friend

Dear Hikari,

It’s already been a week since you’ve been gone, huh? How are things with you? I’m doing fine on my end; discovered the location of some ruins here in Hoenn the other day. Got some big plans for exploring them.

Ranger training is going smoothly so far. Save for when Jackson (he’s a fellow trainee) nearly fell off the cliff during a mountain scaling lesson. Just about flattened me into the rock face. Aside from that though, I think I’ll be graduating in less than a month.

Sorry if this came off as cheesy or anything. I really don’t write letters all that much, and to be honest I haven’t written any to friends before, so this is my first personal one. Looking forward to seeing you again, Hikari,

Hikari furrowed her eyebrow, perplexed. “I…I can’t say I know much about what you’re talking about. But I can tell you this; It’s okay. We’re easily bound to promises that are easier said than done. And…whatever your Father chose to do is out of your grasp, I’m afraid to say. It’s not your fault.”

"It has been the only promise I couldn’t keep. Mother is upset. She has always been upset ever since Dad left. He promised… I loved him… You don’t understand… Dad was so happy and… He said he was gonna give me my first Pokemon…"

She gently placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to gather the right words to say. "I know how hard it can be to...let go of those your care about," She breathed in sharply, remembering how she had left her own Pokémon, "But...None of this is your responsibility. I'm sure both of your parents love you greatly, no matter what's happening in their personal lives. The way things go has a funny flow, and maybe it's all to make us a better person in the end?"

Hikari kneeled down near him, “Why do you say that? I don’t think you’re a failure.”

Hello everyone! After a while of trying to recover the email address I had used for this account, I finally found it! c: 

I may or may not begin roleplaying again, though I've been wanting to lately..

A lot of changes may be coming to this blog.
