“LANGA!” is all the warning given before Reki is launching himself forward, practically attaching himself to the other boy’s side as he laughs and messes with his hair. “I got ya’ something, dude.” he says, detaching himself and swinging his backpack around to rifle through. it’s with a bright grin that he produces a ( slightly crumpled ) gift bag — inside it, Langa will find a hoodie similar to the ones Reki sports, only light blue and featuring a screen printed yeti. there’s also a snowflake keychain, no doubt a reference to his ‘ S ‘ nickname, as well as a simple necklace, a silver chain with an infinity symbol hanging from it. and before he can back out from his nerves, Reki presses a kiss against the canadian’s cheek. “Happy birthday!”

Personal space has simply ceased to exist between them for a while now, so the sudden weight on his one side does little more than bring a subtle smile to his face, one that remains throughout the exchange. A pleased and slightly puzzled-sounding mumble of you didn't have to get me anything--- is quickly silenced by the kiss on his cheek.

He peers into the bag for a moment, lips curving into a more blatant grin, and makes a grab for the soft blue fabric he can see inside. He can tell what it is even before unfolding it. It's a comfortable sixteen degrees or so this early in the year - much warmer than it would be where Langa grew up for sure, but not warm enough that an extra layer would kill him. He slips the hoodie on over his head and puts the rest of the gifts in his bag to travel (crumpling them further in the process... oh well). "C'mon, I think we're supposed to meet our parents at... four...?" Sure, that sounds right. Even if it's not, there is almost nowhere he'd rather be than with his family and the handful of friends that might as well be a part of that, too.
