His dad is dead, just don’t.
In case anyone reading my blog is unaware, this is a reference to the Green Day song titled “Wake Me Up When September Ends” a song that Billie Joe Armstrong wrote following the death of his father in September of 1982 when Billie Joe was ten years old. The title of the song references his desire to sleep through September in an effort to get some emotional distance from the death of his father.
He’s since been open about the emotional difficulty of having written the song since many people now message him on October 1st to ‘wake him up’ despite the song being a memorial to his departed father.
It’s generally seen as respectful to not try to wake him up. Let him sleep and let him remember his father in peace.

It’s that time of the year again
I've been playing Pokemon Sword and just bred a Cleffa (A cute pink baby Pokemon) and it gets along with my huge Dreadnaw which I named Raph (After Rise) and it just made think of RotTMNT Raph with a few fairy type Pokemon (or a whole team of them and one Kickass Fighting type) and my heart is full from it.
i absolutely agree with the idea of raph having a team of kickass fighting types mixed with deceivingly sweet fairy types. really, i think all the boys + april would have at least one or two fighting types on their teams… anyone got suggestions for the other types & specific pokemon they’d have?
April: Flareon, Goodra, All three Meowths I feel, Arcanine
Splinter/Lou Jitsu: Gallade, Glaceon, Tyranitar, Alolan Raichu
Raph: Cleffa, Sylveon, Aromatissie, Inceniroar, Beware, Kommo-O (Giant. Chainmail. Dragon.)
Donnie: Espeon, Gardevoir, Rotom, Reuniclus, Magnezone, Medicham (Pyshic/Fighting, sounds fitting for him)
