People of the jury, what’s the vibe on appreciation for non-sensitive noses?

Stubborn by default, hardly ever sneezes, and it takes a LOT of work to actually pry one out. Every sneeze comes with a statement from close friends.

“Wow, it’s really dusty in here if they’re sneezing…”

“Okay so I’m not crazy! This perfume’s overdoing it.”

“Poor thing, must not be a little cold after all if it’s making you sneeze.”

Inducing takes a while, but after a certain threshold, they become a ticklish mess that’s gasping for reprieve. It’s worth the effort!!

i will virtually always love someone with a naturally tiny sneeze, because the size of the sneeze doesn't really affect anything else. meaning somebody can be stuck in just as desperate and intense of a sneezing fit as anyone else, just, yknow. making tiny little "chu!" sounds or the like, instead of anything more satisfying or dramatic.

like, yeah, it's cute, but that just makes it more embarrassing (and consequently that much cuter) to be sneezing nonstop.

heatwave power outage where I live has me thinking about sneezes by candlelight…

A and B are sprawled on the couch on a hot and stormy summer evening waiting for the power to come back on. Gentle candlelight illuminates the room around them. B has been suffering all day from terrible allergies, and with no a/c, the windows have to be wide open to survive the heatwave. B is almost constantly building up for an itchy fit, their eyes watering and nostrils flaring wildly.

“Hiihh..haH! heEAASCHIOOOO!!” B sneezes openingly, accidentally blowing a candle out with the force of their expulsion.

They sniffle and gaze towards A with wet and heavy eyelids, already inhaling sharply again as their nose tries desperately to expel the persistent tickle.

“Ahh-hiihh..HEAASHIOOOO!!!”

“Oh baby…you’re so itchy,” A gently wipes a tear from B’s cheek and then leans to grab the lighter to relight the blown out candle, hoping the power comes back soon so they can close the windows for poor B.

This has possibly been said before, but:

Someone taking a fan out of storage for the first time since last summer and foolishly turning it on without wiping any of the dust off of it first. Their room may be cooler now, but that dust is blowing everywhere, and it’s only a matter of seconds before they start helplessly sneezing…

does anyone here remember around a year ago when someone posted about their desire to get somebody sick on their blog like, in a very clearly daydreamy way. and another person got incredibly triggered and paranoid over it, made like a whole fear mongering psa post

so then everyone had to be clear that all of their fictional scenarios on their fictional blogs have always been and are still, in fact, fictional?

i just found that a bit silly. i still do. i was thinking about it idly

Putting up laundry with your new partner and your nose starts to itch.

The beautifully sweet smell that they always have on them is so nice when you are cuddling them, but when it is fresh out the laundry, that scent is strong.

You try to sniff, not wanting to interrupt your partner as they explain what happened earlier that week, but your nose starts to become the only thing your attention is on.

Every breath feels like it brings you closer to losing this battle, but if you can just wait until you get to the bathroom-

“Hey you doing alright?”

The sudden concern is enough to throw you off and snap your head away so you can at least avoid the fresh laundry.

They bless you, and as you turn your head back around to apologize, you can barely even keep eye contact, bc you can already feel your nose twitching again

And it seems they noticed too. How nice of them to place one of their freshly washed hand towels on your nose for you to blow your nose into.

Wait a minute.

The idea of a person with minimal allergies or sensitivity to anything becoming a sneezy mess when they have a cold

Maybe the cheap tissue paper rubbed their nose so raw that the nose itself tickled in retaliation. Every rub causes a messy fit to spill out, so more tissues are used, more sneezes, and it just continues

i find it so unreasonably funny that so many of us have normal, quote unquote ‘important’ jobs and come on here during the day like, “hey guys, so get this: fucking a sneeze… what? oh yes hello, karen, i received the memo, yes, i will look it over as soon as possible. thank you. where was i? sneeze…”

can’t stop thinking about someone sneezing all day and being fussed over about it. as they’re getting handed another box of tissues, they start dramatically faking a buildup, very obviously playing it up and making a joke out of it. and then they stop to emphasize they’re fine and everyone worries too much!

only to, not even a few seconds later, start desperately hitching and then wrenching forward into a fistful of tissues with yet another miserable sneeze, proving the need to fuss over them tenfold
