my tc is 5 years older than me, he is a relationship and has a child, but i just want to tell him how i feel. i've liked him since he started a year and a half ago and i leave in two months, and i want him to know before i go but i also don't want to ruin anything :((( what do i do?

I know how you feel but nothing good is going to come out of telling him how you feel.

The age gap is small compared to most in the TC community so that’s a positive. However, the fact he has a child (and I’m guessing a wife aswell?) means that there is very little hope for a romantic relationship.

But that doesn’t mean there is no hope at all. Staying in contact with your TC after school and being friends is still good. It’s definitely better than nothing. So I recommend just trying to make the most of the time you have left to get closer to him as a friend.

Keep your feelings to yourself because you will probably regret telling him. And although it may not seem like it, your feelings will eventually start to get easier to deal with.

SO you know you will be sitting in class and tc walks past USUALLY that's okay but when he is walking along the corridor laughing with the really pretty English teacher imma be real with you cheif that hurted me jealous no way hahahaha no not at all

Okay hi first off if I knew this existed earlier that would’ve been great 😂 but I started at a new school a few months ago and there’s a really cute teacher (f) I don’t know if I have a crush per say but I do know that when she smiles when she proves a point it makes my heart ache she’s just the absolute cutest... I need help in anyway with speaking or just not getting so overwhelmed with her existence

Okay so first of all you need to find something to talk to your TC about.

When finding excuses to talk to your TC, you should start of simply by making an extra effort to be nice. For example, stopping by their class in the morning to say hi, asking how they are and saying things like ‘I hope you have a good day’’. You can also stop by their class at the end of the day to ask how their day was - this shows that you are genuinely interested in them and care about them.

Others excuses to talk to your TV include; talking to your TC about things you have in common, asking for help/ advice with personal problems (family, friends etc), asking for help with class work or homework that you don’t quite understand (even if you do understand it).

When speaking to your TC, make eye contact and smile. Ask questions and show an interest in them and what they have to say.

When you have a crush, it’s difficult not to get overwhelmed by their existence. I used to spend ages planning what to say to my TC, rehearse it over and over and even after that I would still freak out when I went to talk to him. Sometimes I would just give up completely bc I was too nervous. But I realised I couldn’t keep doing this because I didn’t have much time left at school and needed to make the most of any opportunity I got to speak to him. So I would try and calm my nerves before hand by taking deep breaths and tell myself that ‘it’s now or never’.

Time is precious, make sure you make the most of any opportunity you get to speak to your TC. As long as every interaction you have with them is positive, you’re making good progress ☺️

my tc asked me if i think he should come to my year’s graduation night out (in may) and i was like “yeah sure” then he was like “i assume everyone is going..?” and i told him everyone but me will because i’m the youngest in the year and will be too young to get in so he started pouting and said “if you get in i’ll buy you a drink! god loves a trier after all” (which is something i say all the time lol) and i started laughing so much because he used to be a policeman :’)

Aww this is cute!! Your TC seems really nice and funny. It sounds like your TC likes you because he was disappointed when you said you weren’t going to be there 😌

Hi! So my tc and I have a 15 year age gap but I really like him and I'm scared I'll start loving him because I never liked anyone as much as him before but he confuses me a lot. Like sometimes he won't look at me in the eye but he stares at me when I'm not looking, called me beautiful and sweet and he fucking winked at me last week.I always notice him looking at me but idk man.What do you think he feels toward me? (Sorry if I have any mistakes English is not my first language)

I understand why you’re confused. Getting mixed signals from your TC makes it difficult to tell how he really feels about you and this can be frustrating. I had the same problem with my TC.

The only advice I can give you is to be persistent. Keep on trying even if it seems like your efforts are being wasted and you’re getting nothing back. This is the only way that something positive can come out of this.

If it seems like he’s in a bad mood, you might be able to have a positive impact on his day by doing simple things like saying hi, asking how his day was and/or complimenting him.

I guess you’ll never truly know how he feels about you but you can find ways to let him know that you care about him.

my tc got mad at me today because i supposedly gave him attitude but it made me so sad i apologized immediately after but i still felt like he was mad at me ):

Ohh no that’s the worst :(( at least you apologised, there’s really isn’t much else you could do! Just think of tomorrow as a new day and make the effort to smile at him/ compliment him/ ask how he’s doing. Sometimes it’s the little things that make the difference.

Everyone has a bad TC day now and again. Don’t worry about it, I’m sure everything will be fine!

Wow, I didn’t know there was a whole community of us tortured souls haha. So glad I’m not the only one. He’s 14 years older than me. I’m probably more into the idea of him than who he actually is? Sometimes, we make eye contact during class and he begins to fumbled over his words. Just pulls on my heart strings. I’m definitely overthinking things that mean absolutely nothing but I was wondering if you have any tips on staying cool/relax? He just makes me want to hide under a rock and combust lol

The TC community is massive and it’s been a thing for many years now, so you’re definitely not alone!

I would suggest trying to distract yourself from your feelings if you want to stay cool/ relaxed. There’s nothing worse than over thinking things and getting all worked up about it. Try not to over analyse every little interaction you have with your TC, it will drive you crazy in the end! Just let things flow naturally (don’t force conversation etc) and stay calm when you’re around him. I know it’s difficult but there’s not much else you can do.

I AM SO HAPPY TODAY. okay so,, today was a school trip day and i was the only one from my class who didn't want to go and i went to the principal to ask him if i could leave and my tc heard that and she asked me if i wanted to have a class with her first cause she found some papers that could help me improve my essays. OBVIOUSLY i said yes and the principal also agreed so we went in a classroom JUST THE TWO OF US and she sat next to me and teached me FOR LIKE AN HOUR. in the end WE HUGGED.

AHH YAY THIS IS AMAZING! I’m so happy that you got this opportunity with your TC! I will always cherish the moments I spent alone with my TC, I still remember every little detail! :)

So my TC is 11 years older & idk how i feel about him rn. If u asked me 2 weeks ago i wouldve told you i really liked him but recently he seems grumpy a lot. He'd always talk to me in a flirty/friendly manner or look excited & happy when he saw me so i thought at least we were friends. But i get less of the stolen glances. Maybe he's just been in a bad mood.. idk :/

Ahh the classic mixed signals. I got these with my TC aswell. It was so annoying tbh. Like one minute you’re convinced he likes you and that there is something there. The next minute, it’s like you don’t exist.

There’s not much I can say to make your situation any easier. I guess you’ve just got to adapt to how he’s feeling every time you see him. If it seems he doesn’t want to talk, the leave him be. But when he’s in a good mood, you really gotta make the most of it! It kinda sucks but that’s the way it is ://

What should i do better: get closer to my tc or pull away from him?

The answer to this question really depends on your specific situation and how you feel. What would be best for you? Would you be happy being friends with your TC or do you want something more? In my opinion, it’s not worth trying to pursue a relationship if your TC has a wife and family etc.

Personally, in my situation, I would be happy with being close friends with my TC so I still made the effort to talk to him at school. I didn’t want to give up completely but in some cases, it is best to keep your distance. It really just depends.

Hi there! It’s good that your TC isn’t a teacher so he is more attainable in that sense. I understand how you’re feeling, being shy is such a big problem when it comes to having a TC. You’ve just got to start slowly, like even just smiling and saying hi to start with. Then you can start to build up the conversation like ‘how are you?’ and ‘how was your day?’ etc.

You need to have the right mindset in order to help you overcome being shy. Just think that if you don’t step forward, you’ll always be in the same place. Basically, you will never make any progress unless you make the effort. I know it is challenging but it is worth it in the end!

So I think my TC likes me kinda (most likely not at all) but he is always asking how I'm doing in my skill center class ,complementing my scrubs, and always having random convos with me but he's like 8-10 years older than me and it seems he's kind of flirting with me but I have no idea; any advice?

It seems like your TC is definitely interested in you, even if it’s not in a romantic way. He wants to know how you’re doing and is making an effort to speak to you - these are really good signs!! It’s great how he compliments you, this means that he wants to make you feel good!

It’s difficult to know for sure if he’s flirting with you. I suggest that you start doing the same thing back. If you really like him, you should make the effort to talk him and compliment him regularly. Even if it turns out that’s he doesn’t like you in a romantic way, at least you will be good friends since you will have made the effort to interact with him.

so...I have a cute ass professor. He has a wife & kids (big red flag, I know) and i'm not sure if i'm reading into this too much but he gives me good grades on EVERYTHING. I'll do an assignment completely wrong on purpose and he'll give me a 100 anyway. Also, today he sat next to me to check on my work and i 'accidentally' brushed my leg against his, and he didn't move it. But, he left and came back but sat down with his legs facing away from me. So idk what's going on???

Hmm this is a difficult situation. To be realistic, the best case scenario for you and your TC would be a close friendship (bc he has a family). The grades thing does seem a bit strange so I’m not sure what that is about. Try not to think to much into the brushing of your leg against his, it’s not worth reading into it too much.

Try to look out for more obvious signs that he likes you, you’ll drive yourself crazy if you over analyse every small interaction you have with him! Good luck and don’t be afraid to message me again if you need any more advice! ☺️

Welp it's my senior year and I all I want from him is to keep a platonic relationship. However, I'm not sure if he enjoys time spent with me or he finds me boring.. When I tried to lessen the time I spent with him he was like "I dont see you that much anymore.. Did I do something to you?" and I was like "No everything is fine" Any advice? Btw good job, keep going~ 🧡

My advice would be to make the most of every minute you have left with your TC. Try and get as close to him as possible so you have more chance of staying in contact after you graduate. He clearly likes you since he noticed you were keeping your distance and he even questioned it. I guess you just need to show him that you like spending time with him and you are interested in what he has to say.
