for any of you who are like me and didn't know what a burpee was.
you’re welcome, tumblr.
nobodies thanking you. lol
No offense, this is wonderful information, but I, like many others, count calories specifically for weight loss. I know it's not the healthiest technique for me to use, but personally, I think it's more of a "training". To train my mind and body to kinda of see what kinds of foods I should be eating compared to how many calories it is. Honestly, This has helped me, I don't plan on doing it forever, god no. I just wanna do it for long enough, where I'll be able to just eat healthier foods by myself. And the part about you not eating till your satisfied and limiting yourself. I do eat till I'm satisfied because I eat lots of low calorie foods, which really has helped me.
THIS IS WHY I EAT FULL FAT (aesthetic proof)
Before photos (63kg I think? Or thereabouts): 2 and a half months after starting lifting heavy weights, right when I transitioned to eating primally - giving up soy milk, chickpeas, tofu, etc. as staples in my diet
After (62kg): 2 months of eating Primally - you might not see much difference, but I am definitely leaner.
I don’t care if there isn’t much of a difference - I want to show you that eating fat has stopped me from getting fatter. When I gain weight, I tend to never go above 69kg, and my weight has fluctuated between 64 and 69 kg for the last five years. Until now. I am now 62kg - the lightest I have been at this height, if memory serves me correctly. And I maintain this weight effortlessly. I cheat at the weekends, I go on holiday, and then when I’m being good I eat cheese and put cream in my protein shakes. I love my diet because it doesn’t feel like I’m being disciplined.
Fat keeps me satisfied. Fat has taught me how to listen to my body for when its full - all carbs ever did was switch on the desire to eat more and more of them and then leave me feeling sluggish. It might not work for you, but I promise you - fat is nothing to be scared of.
I also eat full fat because:
I poop everyday
I don’t get cramps after meals
I feel more energised in the afternoons instead of tired
I don’t crave sugary things
When you lift, you have to eat more to gain muscle. This is awesome.
This lady is awesome. If you aren’t following her, you should be!
Not the healthiest thing I could have made, but I had a very limited amount of resources ;p 1 cup of white rice 2 hard boiled eggs 2 cups of green beans (sautéed in minced garlic, salt, pepper, and fresh parsley) Calorie total: 560
