This species is not a “true eel”, but is in a group called the spiny eels.

What if fish were wyverns? Funny spec evo wyverns in my story. Theyre about 4ft tall and have a similar niche to pelicans. When theyre landed, they stiffen their legs to balance on them and the middle of their very flexible wings.

They are 'Bekuar' fish, meaning they can breathe on land and in the water easily. When on land, a hard cover on their sets of gills seals shuts unless displaying.
