ode to uncle rusty
we used to argue they say, although i couldn't tell you about what, he looked right through me and always challenged me to talk. he made you feel loved, accepted and alive. he was so much to so many yet he always made me feel special. he didn't toot his own horn, he had nothing to say about his own accomplishments, which were many, just wanted to hear about yours. he was an all round selfless kind of person, who also had dreams and went after them. he showed us how to live, and now he shows us how to die. i can't believe he's gone already, i want to cling to what we have left. i always thought we adopted him, but now i see, he adopted us.
