         she's a little taken aback by the language at first.      but she doesn't correct it      ...     instead, she gives a deep sigh, sitting next to ciri.     yen doesn't look at her at first    ---    instead her eyes watch the men of their group   ...     jaskier & geralt arguing a few meters away.     but for right now... it was just yen & ciri.

        yen finally looks at her   &   gives her a genuine yennefer smile.    one usually only reserved for geralt or others who knew her inner softness.     a hand comes up to brush a blond hair out of ciri's face gently.

        "   destiny may be a fickle bitch,    "      she says with a little huff then smile.    "    but you still make your own decisions.     ---     &    i'll be here to help if i can.    "

        yen's words even surprise herself.       never has she been so devoted to one person besides the witcher in their midst.     but now, ciri?
