i was thinking the other day and the thing about doom patrol is that it is the stupidest show where the absolutely most asinine things happen. the big fight of the first season is ended by making a giant rat and cockroach make out. the last season revolves around an army of mutant butts. niles fell in love with a cavewoman. fundamentally this is a show that i am too embarrassed to ever show or recommend to anybody. HOWEVER. THE THING ABOUT DOOM PATROL!! is that it has, genuinely, fully, honestly, the most loving, heartfelt, touching, meaningful relationships between characters that i have ever seen in a show. cliff wears an oven mitt for half a season because he doesn't want to touch anything other than his grandson and then he takes it off to hold jane's hand after she's taken four seasons to slowly heal from the trauma from her father and accept how much cliff loves her. the finale's the second most devastated i've been after a tv episode. the show's incredible and i will never tell anybody to watch it.

i have an outstanding theory that things would go better for most fictional characters In Situations if they’d watched the twilight zone. “you mean like in the twilight zone?” would solve a lot of supernatural misunderstandings, and just a lot period, a lot of things happen in that show. all this to say spending the end of the world reading did NOT go well for burgess meredith and i think sage should take that as a warning.

life's been crazy i had finals (finished my first year of college with all a's btw if anyone cares) and then my grandpa died all in the same week. but hi. im normal again now. how's it going

im quite sure everyone else is capable of doing math but for what it's worth if frank has been sober 186 days he's only been sober a little over six of the last ten months, so either it took him a while to get settled into the program and to detox or he relapsed, both of which are entirely possible! i don't really know the timeline for that sort of thing!

omg wait i want to talk about what my jewish muses are doing for passover. i could and would make every muse jewish but for the sake of this post im sticking to canonical/ocs

kaylee is for sure going to her parents' house for dinner and she is inviting her friends! she is having the time of her life helping her mom/aunt/grandma cook its her favorite part. they definitely have and still use the same passover for kids books that my grandparents had

i can't remember if i made walker jewish but being an oc of mine, probably. but he's become such a loner in life recently, he's so jaded, i don't think he'd really do anything. he might light a candle by himself. what have i done to this man. or maybe, he volunteers at a clinic, if they or a local place have a dinner he might join

emma, i don't really think is doing anything. emma is getting drunk on the cheapest manishewitz she can find. i can see her either not really as the celebratory type or the type whose grandma insists on having people over. she tries not to ruin that but family and food holidays are stressful for her so she probably dips whenever possible, or hangs with the younger people.

max, i don't know if he'd choose to do anything on his own, but his dads definitely still either hold dinner on their own or have dinner with the rose-waldorf family like we saw in season one, so if that's the case he'll go to that and of course bring audrey and aki along. he likes the pageantry of it, likes seeing his dad like the pageantry of it. he gets into it.

i think the biggest problem is that the combination of adhd, avoidant personality disorder, and just not a great memory, means every single time i go long enough without writing, i end up legitimately forgetting that it's something i could/should do to spend my time even though i'm on my dash literally every day after i'm done with school work, and then the next thing i know it's been six months
