“ i definitely get what you mean, ” she chuckled along with the former hufflepuff. she was rather disappointed in herself when she failed to keep in touch with odette. however, she knew that auror training was no joke and it’s known to be a rather intense three year program. so while odette was in training, alison decided to travel and set up her potions shop. there was a slight twinge of guilt she felt when the two eventually lost touch. “ umm, yes as a matter of fact, i will be staying for longer now. it’s surprising, being back here after so long. i’m usually popping in and out of the country. but of course ! i’ll keep you updated. i’m hoping for the shop to open sometime after the new year, ” she confirmed with a nod. “ i’m glad to hear it. and merlin ! it is your last year, that does sound like it would be both stressful and exciting. i’m sure you’ll do great. ”
“that’s great to hear! all that traveling must be exhausting.” along with all the research she knew had to have been put into her work, she was sure the former ravenclaw must have been relieved to take a breather. “oh, i’d imagine. with all the nostalgia and whatnot. i honestly don’t know how you do it. i always get so homesick ... which is a shame considering i’ve always wanted to do some traveling myself. anyway. i’m looking forward to it!” odette spoke genuinely, always eager to show support for her friends in any way she could. “oh, thank you, but surely not as exciting as opening your own business!” odette added in quickly, ALWAYS having a tendency to shy away from praise. “it must be absolutely brilliant watching your work pay off like that. i’m sure your business will do great as well.”
