I saw someone was doing a “challenge” to not buy any new clothes for 40 days.

I have bought like three shirts in the past year and all of those were because I got gift cards from my family who noticed that I keep my shirts for so long that they’re falling apart.

A lot of people like this person here are assuming that I think these people are stupid or that I’m better than them or something. I don’t. I’m just baffled at how different our realities are. Some people have the disposable income to have an overconsumption problem. I do not. I’ve been poor for a long time now and have a boring sense of personal style anyways.

Also as I said in the post I think it’s weird that they talk about these things as if they’re common problems. I don’t think that the majority of people out there are buying clothes so often that they have to put a time limit on themselves.
