My dear anon, this came to me in a moment where I'm having a full ass brainrot over this sort of au. You didn't ask, but I'm going to drop some lore I'm developing anyway.
Max&George are respectively a twitch streamer and youtuber.
George is really big on indie games. He brings as much as he can of them on his channel, from the most famous ones like Outer Wilds to the weirdest he finds on Steam. He also played Claire Obscure, which he wasn't expecting to enjoy as much as he did, and did a complete run through of Life Is Strange, though he usually hates choices driven games for the anxiety they carry with them. He often brings back Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing.
As much as he loves indie he tends to avoid horror, that's not really his thing and has only played Five Nights At Freddie's 1 for the point of checking a "did that" box. I see George as a rather chill gamer honestly, he has a very solid fanbase, often is invited to cons and shit, does meet&greet. His video are usually one hour/one hour and a half long for games he finishes in one run and up to two hours for the longer series (it doesn't matter of how many episodes it comes out)(yes, he has played Date Everything).
Max on the other hand goes crazy for anything horror and adventure, he is the type to stream long ass gameplays of like The Last Of Us, Resident Evil, Dark Souls, Detroit Become Human for hours. Any big game that's came out in the last twenty years, he has played it. Just like George he really enjoyed Clair Obscure, but differently from him he's a big fan of choices games. He has definitely played the whole Dark Pictures Anthology saga, Until Dawn and The Quarry too.
He's quite fond of Watch Dogs, actually, it was probably his first series to do milestones for him, views wise. He has two YouTube accounts, one where he uploads his streams and another one for shorter videos he does, all minimum 30 mins and a maximum of 1h. These videos are more short horror games he plays where he feels like taking a break, most of these from steam. He also loves RPG ones (his absolute favourite is The Witch House), has played so many of them he has lost count. Definitely has a soft spot for SpiderMan 2 and Miles Morales. Just like George Max also has a big fanbase, though largely bigger than George's. He often gets invited to cons but shows up only once or twice, despises meet&greet (he loves his fans, but they can be way too much for him to take sometimes).
[both Max and George love to play Minecraft&Mario Kart from time to time! They don't play together, it's just a coincidence].
Both George and Max would officially meet at a Con, though I'm still sorting out the full logics here, bare with me 🙏
