important announcement!
a friend of mine @/jjsblueberry got hacked because of the "___ tucker" scam that's been happening around tumblr for a while. basically you get a message request on tumblr and someone says to you that they accidentally reported you and that they got their friends to report you as well and then they tell you to get help and contact "elituckertumblrr" or any variation on discord.
the first red flag is that no site like tumblr in this type of situation will ask you to use another social media platform to fix this issue.
they will ask for your personal information and one thing to look out for is that they will ask you to change your tumblr email to their email. if this happens they have access to your tumblr and from what I've researched they spread their scam in this way. they hack an account and then they send this scam to another account and then the cycle goes on. @/soft-likethesunset is also hacked. i'm not sure if they know about this. but i'll still put this here for others to know.
The main point of this post is to tell you guys to keep distance from our mutual's account and to watch out for this scam. We are currently trying to get Jo's account back and we will tell you if there is any update to the situation. do not do not ever give your information to people who are asking for it, ever.
