My take for today is that I think a lot of people don't really know how to internalize their thoughts and specifically their discomforts about media/art/concepts so whenever they externalize it by talking/complaining about how they feel, they get shut down with the whole "you need to be comfortable feeling uncomfortable"/"art should disturb the comforted and comfort the disturbed". And for the most part I think this shut down and dismissal doesn't do anything beneficial to either party since the uncomfortable person cannot process their thoughts and the one shutting down the convo comes across as an asshole. If anything, being able to inform others on dealing with their discomfort by telling them to:

1. Ask yourself what it is that is making you uncomfortable

2. What are the specifics that make you feel uncomfortable, and

3. What does this say about you/the people reacting alongside you/the world as a whole

Would be way more enlightening and insightful. But instead we just complain at one another and shut everything down for no reason

I'm lowkey glad people are now realizing that Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is overhyped and not that fun anymore. With 120+ hours in the game, I can proudly say that the game has gotten really boring and repetitive in its nature (miis ask for things from you, sometimes they want to be friends/move in to a different place, and have interactions that are all about the same topics). A lot of the bulk of the game is customizing your miis and island, but even that gets boring when you consider that there's only so many characters you like/care about enough to add (I only have ~36 miis out of the 70 you're allowed to have) and that the island space is a bit of a mess to edit. I mostly log in to check out the afternoon and evening marketplace but lately I just haven't done that because the stuff there is either repetitive clothing I can get at the shop and/or junk mystery prizes. I also log in to see the daily/weekly deals for clothes, food, and rooms. But outside of that, the game is very boring in nature and I think once people noticed this, they stopped. I have completed all but one wishing prizes (ticket to outer space), I've only had 1 drama event, a few marriages, 3 kids born on the island. I've done pretty much everything. There's no replayability and it sucks that you can't have multiple saves, so I can't even make a new island and make it a themed one without wiping the previous save completely. Mind you, I pirated this shit. This is just a mid game
