Masters of The Universe 2026– Official Teaser Trailer.
Crawled out of my hole because Skeletor in the MotU trailer reawakened that special something.

Summary:
If there’s a word to describe the connection between you and the yautja, you don’t know it, but you do know it’s embodied, with macabre significance, by the fact that he wears the proximal bone of your ring finger on a wire around his neck.
(Spoilers for Badlands.)
Predator: Badlands spoilers below.
Badlands was good. Genuinely enjoyable. I was very impressed.
But.
It wholly anthropomorphized the yautja, and I'm at odds with that. I've been a fan for decades, and I'm from an older generation, so maybe that's why I feel this way.
Giving Dek daddy issues removed some of the intrigue, that primal rough edge they carried. And the whole empathy thing, I just don't know. I liked the yautja silent and impassive. I liked the language barrier. I liked that even though they were humanoid, they were not human - they operated differently, in ways that kept them so wonderfully different.
Dek was too human. His story was tried and true human storytelling: Family struggles. Loss. Grief. And then they inserted the found family trope, and then made him have a revelation, and then he gets his sweet sweet revenge. Oh, and he also got two loveable animal companions along the way.
It's the same story I've seen/read/played over and over throughout the years. It's nothing new. It's human, and the yautja are not. I wanted a glimpse of a culture that was completely foreign and strange, of unanticipated behaviour and wildly foreign concepts. I wanted that savage strangeness to remain and instead I got the old familiar story of a young adult male with family issues on a mission to prove himself/get revenge.
I did like the movie (a lot), but I think it marks the end of the yautja as they were, and that saddens me. But I guess that's what fan works are for.
Low Roar’s music isn’t just tied to the game for me — it brings back a feeling of quiet, comfort, something deeply personal. I listened to them not only while playing, but on my own too — in silence, from my playlist, just for myself. And I still do. Every time feels like running into an old friend. ❤️
"Well, let's just say I've died on the Beach before. You of all people should understand. The loneliness. Tens of thousands of years of just… wandering. Without you… Fragile… Amelie… anyone. I couldn't fuckin' take it."
pretty boy ...
(gifing Death Stranding 2 5/?)
What an ending. Silly, intense, jarring, heartbreaking, and absolutely fucking fantastic.
Also, can we talk about how incredible the soundtrack is?
Twice now he's been unexpectedly humbled, and I love watching every minute of it.
His entrances are so commandingly dramatic, and then -
Is there a legitimate reason to bring him back? Not sure yet. Does he still steal the fucking show? Absolutely.
Let's fucking go.
Sometime around 2005, I spent way too many nights in college writing fanfic for Alien Vs. Predator. The movie was my gateway to monsterfucking, and it was such a small fandom and taboo subject at that time that I was embarrassed to mention my fics to anybody because, well, humans fucking yautja.
Over the years this little bubble has slowly grown. Yautjafuckers began to emerge in greater numbers. Now the fandom is blossoming quickly, getting the content it deserves (thanks, Dan!), and it's wonderful to see more people giving the yautja an erotically charged side-eye.
That's it, really. Just happy people are realizing the fuckability of arguably one of the best examples of raw, primal (exceedingly violent) masculinity and femininity.
I hope you know that reading One spark, sun becoming rearranged my brain in such a way that it got me out of my editor’s block and played a very active part in giving me inspiration to make an entire 4 minute Higgs edit. Never have I read such a good DS work or seen that character portrayed *so* accurately in a fic. In short, that shit was amazing and you should be proud😭✌️
Thank you so much!
Hello, I have read and deeply enjoyed your Predator/Prey content, I was wondering if you have had to chance to watch the new Predator: Killer of Killers movie yet and if you have what did you think of it?
I did! I thought it was really well done. Loved the variety in terms of yautja appearances, some of the fight scenes had me on the edge of my seat. Also, that glimpse of Naru had me screeching, I desperately wanted her story to be continued somehow.
I'm also incredibly excited for Badlands! Trachtenberg has made some style choices recently that seem to hint toward a reboot or revival of AvP, which would also be fucking amazing. Really looking forward to seeing what he'll do with the franchise now that he's established himself with Prey and KoK.
