something that’s sort of bothering me is that we already have episode 7 and it’s the start of episode 8. like i don’t remember the seasons going by this quickly. we have about three weeks left of the season if they keep it to 10 weeks like usual. it makes me a little sad knowing how quickly it’s already ending. and we’re pretty sure we’ll get season 6 but after that...who knows. idk it just makes me a little sad

you know what i’m so happy that there’s no drama between Nora and Yara. i don’t think i would’ve liked watching as much if there was more girl drama over a guy (even if that guy is Josh who is amazing) I’m so glad that Yara is so supportive of their relationship :)

not sure if anyone else noticed but on Mailin’s instagram it says her last name is Richter. The same as Leonie. I don’t know if Richter is just a common name in Germany but what if Mailin is Leonie’s sister?? or at least somehow related? this could be another connection to old gen!

somehow it completely slipped my mind that in the druck universe somewhere in berlin is the boy squad playing table tennis together and the girls are hanging out together. like it’s completely viable that Nora just happens to run into/just walk past any of the old characters (i know this won’t happen but for some reason that blew my mind)

Re: Nora's relationship to the main squad. I think it will improve over the course of her season. But I don't think they'll be her squad. I think (i hope!) her squad is going to form out of some of the characters that we have seen, but have not been formally introduced via SM. I'm thinking the two groups will be the main squads for the future seasons. They are the equivalent of the boys squad and the girls squad from the first gen, except this time the two groups are more mixed and diverse

i love this, i had the same thought. i think you’re very likely correct and honestly as long as Nora gets the squad she deserves then i’m good. i feel like that’ll include Fatou, soccer ball girl, that one guy we saw at the school hanging with the squad, and maybe Ava (hopefully, i wanna see more of her). and i’m so glad that the groups are/will be more diverse, it’ll give more opportunity for representation :)

my only question is if the new squad aren’t good friends to Nora then why are they the main cast for new gen? i get that maybe in later seasons they’ll be more important but if Nora finds that she has to drop them as friends then why make them such a big deal? unless they become nicer to her, i don’t see much point in their importance other than making problems for Nora like Leonie and her squad was with Hanna.

but anyway it’s only the first week so we’ll see.

i’m actually curious about the opinion the druck fans have who were upset over new gen/nora probably being the main, on if they handle the new season like skam france did with Lola’s season? i dont watch skam france but it seemed that fans really liked that season and they managed to keep some og characters in it too. I feel like it’s very plausible that we’d see more of the og druck characters than just Kiki because Nora is technically a similar character to Lola (in that they are the sister of or related to the Vilde character)

i was upset when they announced new gen too but i feel a bit better knowing they could film it similar to Lola’s season and keep more of the og druck gang in the new season

in no way am i saying that season 5 should have the same plot as Lola’s, only that hopefully it’s handled similarly so that we see more of the og druck gang

(if you choose to interact with this post please don’t hate on either of the remakes mentioned and their respective newest seasons)

TLDR; how do fans feel about Nora’s season being similar to Lola’s (not the plot) in that most of the og france cast was still in the season but it was technically new gen

another show tracking app (Showflix) states 21 August for season 5 so it seems that this time period is probably true
