Nostalgia

As a society we often romanticize the past and what once was. Looking back on the "good old days" forgetting to live in the moment, because one day these will be the old times. I'm starting a collection of pieces inspired by nostalgia and remembering to live in the moment. Featuring my friends as my amazing models, I am mixing realism with Frutiger Metro to capture that feeling of nostalgia for the past with the reality that is now.

Edmond my baby girl.

I finished this one a few months ago... Well actually more like a year ago. I even have my vtuber logo instead of my A.Y. Solas signature LOL.

I love Edmond so much, I'm gonna make an Ita bag of him. I get such cuteness aggression towards him, it makes me look coocoo for coco puffs.

For this piece I wanted to mix my anime style with a more painterly rendering style. I think I enjoy this style the most tbh and will be returning to it soon (once I get back from my trip and post my backlog of art.) I stopped posting art because I figured people didn't enjoy it, then I realized it was just Instagrams algorithm screwing me over >:( so now I only post on Tumblr, because where else do I get to post my baby girl along with a 5 paragraph essay on why I hate modern social media???

I wanted to paint his portrait like Hua Cheng would! But like more of a current reflection. I pulled outfit inspo from the official New Years /5th Anniversary art and my fav detail is that it goes hand in hand with this quote from the book:
