Workout help!!
Anyone got any good gym workout (for beginners, like im on day 4 of going to the gym) when it comes to working my arms and my waist out? Ive been doing cardio on my legs and butt the past few days and i want to give my muscles a rest and focus somewhere else. If y'all could recommend both non-machine (sit ups, planks, etc) and machine workouts that would be great 😊
what i do is start off with 15-20 minutes of cardio, so treadmill or you could do elliptical, bike, or stairs. this is to warm up your muscles, and kicks off your metabolism. then i start my rounds on the machines, trying to hit them all. i don't always do a “leg day” or “arm day” or “core day” but sometimes i do, and ill usually just increase the sets that I do. a big tip is that when you do a machine, if you can do 12 reps without a lot of difficulty, then you need to bump up the weight. also, a big thing is that as you work out more and get used to the weights, try to bump up the weights even if it is hard, because this will also kind of give a kick to your metabolism. with the machines i literally do rounds though, because i just personally don't like to do 10 sets at a time at a machine. i usually do 3-5 sets of 12 reps at each machine, and hit each machine 2-3 times. then when I'm done with the machines i do a mat workout. If you're just starting to workout start off with a smaller number. when i first started i do 2 sets of 35 crunches, 2 sets of 15 sit ups, 1 set of 10 regular pushups, 1 set of diamond pushups, 1 set of wide pushups, 1 set of 25 v ups(these are so great if you do them right!), 3 sets of 40 russian twists, 2 sets of 35 elbow to knee crunches, 3 sets of 20 reverse crunches(if you do them right you will feel it in your abs, not your legs! and if you need to you can put your hands under your butt, it will make it easier) and 1 minute of plank. Then finish off with 5 minute run. hopefully this helps, feel free to change the set amounts to whatever you feel comfortable with :)
following back tons!
Ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.
