This was one of her favorite things about summer, the heat. She padded out of her room, pulling her silk robe around her skinny body and walked down the stairs. Her mom was flicking her wand at the dishes, making them clean themselves. Marlene sat across from her moms new beau. She gave him a shrug and grabbed a glass of juice, taking a large gulp. “Just a couple more weeks left, Marlee.” her mom said, looking at her lovingly. “Starting your sixth year already!” her eyes were somewhat watery and Marlene flushed, looking away from both of them and staring at her glass.

She heard voices inside, and mentally high fived herself. The hiss of the Dark Lord’s voice sent chills down her spine, and she shivered in pleasure, biting down on her lip. The voices got quiet for a moment before the door was flung up, and Alecto was pulled inside by rough hands. “Uh, dad…” She began, the words coming out of her mouth in a jumble. He glared at her, his eyes hard. 

“Stand aside, Claude.” The Dark Lord’s slimy voice rang out. Mr. Carrow let go of his daughter, sitting back down in his seat. Alecto stared into the eyes of Lord Voldemort for a moment, adrenaline rushing through her body. “Crucio.” He whispered. With that, she felt a great force hit her stomach.

Alecto collapsed to the floor, writhing in pain. It felt amazing; something she’d never experienced before. She almost began to giggle; and tears soon began flowing from her eyes. He lifted the curse after a few seconds, and Alecto propped herself up on her elbows, sweating. “Again.” She panted, laughing.
