Holiday Witch Ball Ornaments
What’s a more inconspicuous way to add witchcraft to the holiday season than by combining the well-known concept of Witch Balls with widely used ornaments? Add the following ingredients to either clear, glass ornaments (so they can be charged by compliments) or to solid ornaments (to be even more unnoticeable) for the desired effects.
Family Peace:
lavender buds
two sprigs of thyme
dried cilantro
rose buds
Festivity:
three vanilla bean pods
whole allspice
dried tangerine or orange peels
sprig of pine
Love Drawing:
crushed rose petals
dried jasmine
dried lime peels
granulated sugar
glitter
New Year Prosperity:
whole chamomile flowers
one cinnamon stick
pine needles
juniper berries
The Lemon Hex
For when someone has REALLY done you dirty and you just need a quick and powerful burst of baneful energy. This one is powerful, fast-acting, and short-lived, by nature it can really f a person up and can't be undone/reversed once you've cast it. As always, practice responsibly and be safe!
What You Need
A lemon (naturally.)
A knife to help handle said lemon
A leaf or piece of paper with your target's name/identifying info on it (taglock)
Ginger/Cayenne Pepper to help empower/speed up the spell. Both preferred, but just one can do.
Salt/Black Pepper, good baseline ingredients for most hexes
Anything nasty or spicy you can think of. Hot sauces/peppers, old vegetable juices, lint/dust, dish scum, you name it.
Important note: This is not a spell you want to use needles, nails, or other hard things in. Keep it soft and organic if you can. You'll see why.
Steps
Throughout all of this, I find hexes to be a good opportunity to speak your mind, let the target know exactly how they fucked up and how this is the consequence of their actions.
Prepare your taglock and cut an opening in your lemon. Give it some room in the middle.
Roll up or stuff the taglock inside the lemon alongside all of the other ingredients. Be sure to add the ginger and cayenne for best results.
Once it's all in there, give it a little roll/squeeze to make sure those lemon juices permeate all the nasty insides. Let the citrus sting and the spices burn, let the grossness reflect the grossness they've wrought on your own life being sent back.
Chop the whole thing into pieces in preparation for the next step.
Once you're ready, chuck it into the garbage disposal.
If you don't have a garbage disposal, a blender with some liquid should work too. You could even continue using nasties like lemon or pickle juice.
Your lemon is now ground up and liquefied. Dispose of the remains down the sink or however you please.
The Best and Worst Thing About 10 Divination Methods
TAROT
BEST: It has the richest vocabulary and emotional capacity to answer any and every question.
WORST: Years of studying it might prove entirely useless if your intuition is not naturally strong.
ASTROLOGY
BEST: It hands you a clear map of your destiny throughout your current, past and future lives.
WORST: Most available sources for it do not recognize its sanctity, rendering it useless for many.
RUNECASTING
BEST: It lets you confront yourself with the most difficult questions to help you thrive in life.
WORST: It cannot answer very specific queries, such as those about someone’s age and appearance.
SCRYING
BEST: It empowers you to see into the minds of deities, entities and mortals – dead and alive.
WORST: Unless your will is very strong, you will only ever see random, meaningless visions.
ONEIROMANCY
BEST: It not only shows you a glimpse of the past or the future. It actually takes you there.
WORST: It is impossible for most to differentiate between psychological and prophetic dreams.
PALMISTRY
BEST: It is like astrology and tarot combined. A map of your destiny told creatively.
WORST: Actual practice, not just generalized lessons and diagrams, is required to truly learn it.
TASSEOGRAPHY
BEST: It is a lot like scrying. It allows you to see and hear beyond what your eyes and ears can.
WORST: It makes it easy for you to fool yourself. As the saying goes, “We see what we want to see.”
PYROMANCY
BEST: As the earliest method of fortunetelling, it is among the most sacred forms of divination.
WORST: Since fire is involved, it can be very dangerous for yourself and your surroundings.
CHARMCASTING
BEST: It is the simplest and easiest form of divination. Anyone can throw and read random trinkets.
WORST: It is arguably so far removed from its true origins that it is closer to a game than to actual divination.
LENORMAND
BEST: It causes minimal to zero confusion, since it is the most straightforward method of divination.
WORST: It requires a logical state of mind, yet heavy emotions are inherent in most questions.
Spell Loopholes
Wording a spell correctly is extremely important! We’ve all heard the stories of someone who cast a spell and technically had it come true, but in a way that wasn’t what they actually wanted at all! Here’s a list of common “loopholes” spells will take to get the job done, and how to make sure you get what you want!
🕯Taking its time- “I want money,” you tell the Universe, hoping to get some help with rent. Well, rent comes and there’s no extra cash in sight! Then, two weeks later, a surprise wad of cash all but lands in your lap. The spell came true, but not in time for when it mattered. This is easily fixed by adding “…by the end of the month,” or specifying what the money is for, which in this case was this month’s rent.
🕯No help needed- “I want money,” you say again. Magic will often take the path of least resistance, so if you’ve already got a paycheck on the way, the spell might not do much besides make sure it doesn’t get lost. There. Money. It can be good to specify that you want your spell to work in addition to everything you’re already doing!
🕯 Bare minimum- This time from your money spell, it arrives on time from an unexpected source! But it’s a quarter you found on the ground. Maybe three quarters. Not much help! If your intent would require the money to be close to a certain amount or any other specific like that, let it be known! The universe isn’t there to make assumptions.
🕯 For the worst- Let’s say you have two friends that have been flirting, so you cast a nice little spell to let any mutual interest between them blossom into a relationship and save them some trouble. It happens, but it turns out they do NOT work well with each other. They are interested in each other, but argue constantly and bring out the worst in each other. The relationship is hurting them both. You had the absolute best of intentions, but there was no way of knowing that would happen! This is why a lot of witches include the phrase, “for the highest good” in their spells, as a failsafe for any unexpected pitfalls like this that may be lurking. The universe will see them but doesn’t know to care unless you specify.
🕯Another layer- Once I made a dream bear to bring me more dreams. Well, I had lots more dreams, but couldn’t remember any of them! I didn’t think that was something I needed to specify. Make sure you hit every point you need to be satisfied with a result.
As a general rule, if my spell includes a prayer or petition of any sort, I take a few minutes and comb through it for stuff like this beforehand. What am I specifying? What am I leaving up to interpretation? Could any of that manifest in a way I would be unhappy with? Take a little time before you start casting to smooth out all those wrinkles! Best of wishes!

Scrying [Witchcraft 101]
What is Scrying?
I know it looks like a typo and what’s really happening, is that we’ve actually been crying as a community, but alas no; “scrying” is a legitimate and archaic form of divination.
Let’s check out the definition of it via Google:
scryskrʌɪ/ verb
gerund or present participle: scrying
Foretell the future using a crystal ball or other reflective object or surface. “A mirror used for scrying”.
Okay, so Google did pretty well this time and have hit the nail smack on the head with this definition. Scrying is the act of gazing at a reflective surface and using any symbols that may appear as a way of garnering advice, or foretelling the outcome of certain forthcoming situations, circumstances, and choices.
