He answered her kiss and slowly laid back down again, simply for her to stitch him up. He bit into the couch. "Fucking hell Leah." He moaned in a painful way. His eyes closed as he finally felt she finished. "Leah.." He whispered weakly, looking towards her. "They made me do things." His eyes slowly closed, how was he supposed to do say this? He felt completely messed up. "Don't cut my dick. I didn't want to. I killed them all after." Yet he already faded right at that point.

"I didn't really expect anything else.." He smiled lightly, releasing Diana to run towards Barbara. With a small smile he studied them, he knew she would wake up one day, but knew it wouldn't be easy. His eyes studied hers as he shrugged his shoulders. "I documented everything for you. From pictures to videos. She's really a clone of you." He chuckled whilst breathing in deeply. Slowly sitting down on the side of the bed to hold her hand somewhat comforting. "We ain't gonna go anywhere. And you will get soon in it. Because, well we don't really have a routine. Except, once a month she insists to go to McDonald's." He hoisted himself on his feet. "You want to take a little walk?" He asked once she said her body did hurt.

"Diana.. Calm down." He whispered to the little girl and placed her on his lap, but the little girl refused. "You're my mommy! But you got in a coma after I was born. I'm three now!" Evan sighed softly as he walked over towards Barbara. "Shh.. It's okay. You have been in a coma for three years. I will get a doctor and, you want me to get her out?" He asked Barbara whilst wiping away her tears. "But dad I don't want to go!" His eyes wandered down towards Diana, who started to cry as well. Slowly he kneeled down to be on the same height as Diana, yet still held Barbara her hand. "Princess, your mommy needs some rest.. I know it is hard. But, just draw her something nice okay?" He wiped away her tears as well. It was such a bittersweet moment.

His stomach twisted and turned as the doctor said those words. His eyes closing slowly as he nodded quietly, looking down at little Diana in his arms. What if she would miss out on all the things they were supposed to do together, seeing her grow up, learning to walk. Nothing was the same and his world had been torn apart.

Never he had allowed someone to pull the plug. Believing that one day she would wake up. Over those three years, he had recorded every single moment of Diana growing up. Deciding after what happened, to call her second name, Barbara. His mother had happily had helped him with keeping the photobooks. As they had planned, he had managed to keep Diana out of the pictures until she was five months old. "Mommy!" Diana happily walked into the room, to the still in coma Barbara. For Diana it had become the most normal thing. "Happy birthday. I drew you something! You see. If you wake up I want to hug you very tight! And then you can see the dogs again. Dad told me you love them very much." Evan smiled somewhat sadly as he leaned in to kiss her forehead. "Happy birthday beautiful."

"I'm not going anywhere." He whispered weakly, trying to concentrate on her, though his eyes soon rolled away and his eyes closed. A deep sigh escaping his lips whilst opening his eyes again. It was his decision to die or stay, but he couldn't leave her behind. Not ever.

"I know. But they would've searched for us. I'm still alive. I won't die." He once hissed out of pain as his eyes yet wandered towards her, mindlessly sitting up straight to close her in his arms. "I love you. Keep that in mind okay? I wouldn't dare to die on you."

"Better said they really don't respect it. I loathe it." He breathed as his eyes studied hers for a moment, just before he kissed the top of her head. "We'll figure it out." He said, a small smile lacing upon his lips, leaning down to kiss her lips. "I love you, so much." He whispered against them whilst a small smile laced upon his lips.

Immediately he woke up as she called out his name, eyes flickering down as he saw her getting insanely pale. "Hold on.. Okay?" He heard her nearly choking and quickly rushed out of the room, calling for the first doctor, praying she hadn't left him in that brief moment. He couldn't live without her, and Diana? How could she grow up without a mom?

His eyes shifted quickly back and forth. They had ended up in Canada, actually had found a nice place to stay and he couldn’t wait to leave this life behind and travel the world with her like they had planned. But there was a job he still had to do, not knowing whether he would return or not. His lips wandered down her bare back. Who knew how many hours they had still left? “I’m going.” He whispered in her ear. Pulling her closer for a moment. He couldn’t promise to return, she knew, but she as well knew, he would do anything to return. “I love you.” And with those words he rose himself from the bed and got himself dressed. His eyes studying hers as he rushed over to kiss her lips one last time.

“Leah..” He called out weakly as he finally returned in the middle of the night, doubting whether his voice was loud enough, but the noises he made probably were. His body was covered in blood, his normal rather tall and strong looks were now crashed like he was some little kid. “My b.. Back.” He brough out, but as she checked it, there was a deep cut, diagonally from his shoulderblade to his hip. “I’m sorry..”

"I'm more than ready for that." Yet as she mentioned those words, he realised even in this place, where barely any photographers walked around, many would be walking around to get the very first shot of Diana. Whereby he rather left it up to them to eventually post one online. "I almost forgot about them." Evan studied her somewhat worried, yet then decided to lay down next to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "What about we don't leave this midday, but actually leave at midnight, no one would expect us to get out by then." He looked down at Diana, looking up at them with the same blue eyes as Barbara had. "Damn I sometimes hate being famous."

"I love you so much." He panted before he kissed her soft plumb lips. His fingertips sliding into her hair. With a small frown he thrusted into her, a slow groan leaving his thin lips, kissing the skin of her neck ever so gently.

A proud smile bloomed up his lips. How surreal it actually was to have so much love and happiness to be surrounded with. But he would never dare to take it for granted, protecting his two girls with his whole life. "I'm sorry. I guess we are up for sleepless nights." He whispered as he handed her Diana, who already desperately moved her lips. "Mom instinct." He joked, running his fingers through her hair rather absent mindedly.

He smiled as he wiped away her tears, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. "I know. I am glad you didn't crush my hand." With a smile he played with her fingertips. "Diana sounds perfect to me." His eyes closed before he leaned in to kiss her lips once more. "Me too.." He couldn't imagine how much love he could fathom for the two of them. It was just insane and yet made him insanely happy. "Its okay.. Sleep some. You want her next to you?" He asked as he looked up towards their moms who smiled brightly and nodded. "We'll be downstairs. Rest some sweetheart." Her mother said, before they left. Evan sat down on the chair, before he chuckled softly. "I got the most beautiful girls."
