❝If I remember correctly, you both are my guest and isn’t it common for the guests to be treated better than the owner?❞ He didn’t mind not sleeping in a comfortable bed, there were worse places for him to rest. He was a busy person as well so he could indulge in the life different from William and Sitri’s own when it came to sleeping spots.

Straightening himself out for a moment, William could only watch Dantalion's expression carefully. He was being really stubborn about this, wasn't he? For someone who wanted to be king, he supposed that was a good quality, if only because William himself was just as stubborn.

❝Would a king sleep on the floor, Dantalion?❞

❝I haven’t forgotten, I thought since we all were telling jokes I could say a few of my own. You’re hardly one to have a funny bone so I tried to indulge in your actions.❞

❝If you wish to sleep in a bed with Sitri then be my guest, not all demons are in need of the human care. If you haven’t noticed. With you sleeping on the floor would be bad for you back and Sitri would spout some nonsense about how he’s too pretty to lay on the floor so, problem solved I do believe.❞

He didn't want to say he was cruel. Deep down, he would really feel bad he supposed if Dantalion was made to sleep on the floor.

Not that William would ever admit it.

William Twining was a realist through and through, and what he could not reason with logic he completely denied. That is, he ended up going into a depressing, irritated denial about the foreign concept. Which is more or less, what he was experiencing now. While he adored science so much that his heart could burst, he did not in any sense of the concept, approve of this experiment. He was completely distraught that scientists could pull something like this! They were slandering the beauty of science by kidnapping and throwing all these people into this literal hive.

It reminded him somewhat of the experiments with mice. Mice being thrown into a maze and scientists would observe them, see which would be able to find their way out. That experiment and this "social" experiment felt too much alike.

But what could a simple human do about it? Well, despite William's big head about himself, his pride and arrogance, his self confidence -- despite all that, there was no way he could talk himself out of this situation or demand to be taken back. But then again, this was William after all, and as soon as he saw the chance, he would. His brilliant mind wouldn't go to waste and his awe inspiring talent for academics would not shrivel up here! Slowly did his vitality return to him, the blonde ready to shout to the Heavens (that he didn't even believe he existed) -- of his determination.

That is, he would have had not the sound of glass shattering and a following siren(?) cause William to cover his ears. Wincing, he began to run around rather aimlessly, trying to find the source of the noise. Off in the distance he swore he saw familiar silver hair -- though before he could get a good look a sudden breeze overhead caused the boy to turn green eyes skyward, only to find nothing. Was that a bird that had just flapped above him? Shaking his head, the boy hurried off in another direction, turning sharply and running right into someone else, ears still covered though a bewildered expression taking place.

❝Oh -- you there! It's unfortunate that I bumped into you, for me, but now that I found someone, please pinch my arm, I'm fairly certain I'm dreaming.❞
