"My only light"
White Lily, Sugar Swan, and the motif of Life.
From the moment the trailer for Sugar Swan Cookie dropped, I have been thinking of how I wished the story played into the whole "guardian helping their respective ancient" pattern which has been seen throughout the battle with DE(Moonlight for Golden Cheese, Wind Spirit for Pure Vanilla, ect). I wished that Sugar Swan was the one to choose to help White Lily as all other elementals have with the other ancients.
Because it just all comes together so perfectly, at least to me.
Both White Lily and Sugar Swan are deeply intertwined with the concept of life. Sugar Swan breathes life into the world, and White Lily, ever since she was a young student, has been searching for the answers as to how cookies were created(aka how life came into them).
Not to mention the whole "rising from the ashes" motif I got from both of them.
Let me explain.
During the confrontation with Silent Salt, White Lily was quite literally burned alive, yet she came back from it stronger than before.
At the end of ep 15, we see the fragments of White Lily's and Silent Salt's soul jams join together to form a new shining being, quite literally rising from the ashes.
And my last point is one of Sugar Swan's own voice lines.
"From the ashes, a new life will spring"
Just to add onto this. This title.
I'm tired boss
