How to get over feeling sad
1. Make a list of everything you’re thankful for – and try to find some memories that make you smile. There’s nothing like some humour for changing how you feel.
2. Decide to do somethimg you enjoy with your friends. Although it might be tempting to stay home alone, and to have a bubble bath, or to curl up with a book, you’ll probably feel better if you go out with your friends. It stops you dwelling on your thoughts, and moves your focus somewhere else.
3. Get some exercise. Endorphins are released when we get some exercise. This improves our mood with no real effort on our part (and you may well feel less tired, and more healthy as well).
4. Set yourself some goals and break them down into small steps. As you work through these steps you’ll start to see some gradual changes – and you’ll feel you’re going somewhere instead of marking time.
5. Play it forward. Do something selfless and kind for someone else. It will take them by surprise, and it mught even make their day. You’ll also feel much better about yourself as well.
6. Tell yourself that it will pass as moods are changeable. Our feelings are so fickle and unreliable.
7. Recognise that your mind is a fertile battleground. We’re all assaulted by our thoughts so everything looks negative. Try to counteract that thinking by looking for the good.
8. It’s different if you’re coping with something serious. If you’re dealing with a trauma, or a crisis, or a death, then don’t avoid the feelings. They will help you to heal. And, in time, the pain will ease and you will feel more like yourself.

YES ADAM
Sorry, I could never be a capitalist, I suffer from “wanting humans to have their basic needs met” disorder, where I care about people who aren’t me.
Someone once asked me if, assuming we got universal healthcare, I would be okay with the rise in “healthcare tourism” where people who are sick come to our country to get their medical bills taken care of and life-saving medical treatment cheaper than in their home countries. I was just like, yeah thats fine, I’d actually prefer it if 0 people died from preventable causes kept behind a paywall for no reason.

Sometimes it is very important to be awkward, inelegant, jerking, to be neither poetic nor prosaic, to be positively bad. To express other possibilities for bodies, alternative values, to stop making sense.

HOW TO DONATE TO BLM WHEN YOU HAVE NO MONEY
a black woman named zoe amira posted a video on youtube. this video is an hour long and filled with art and music from black creators. it has a ton of ads, and in result will rack up a ton of revenue. 100% of the ad revenue from the video will be dispersed between various blm organizations, including bail-out funds for protesters. it will be split between the following, dependent on necessity
brooklyn bail fund
minnesota freedom fund
atlanta action network
columbus freedom fund
louisville community bail fund
chicago bond
black visions collective
richmond community bail fund
the bail project inc
nw com bail fund
philadelphia bail fund

turn off your adblocker and put the video on repeat. do not skip ads. let it play on loop whether you’re listening or not. mute the tab if you need to focus elsewhere. but let. it. play.
youtube will donate to blm for you.
please, please reblog. for people who don’t have money to spare, this is incredibly important information to have.
@poguesgold Thank you for bringing attention to this. I checked the comments there and some Kpop fans who have experience with this say to not watch on repeat, and keep the volume at least 50% (but you can still mute the tab or plug headphones in)
I have no experience with this strategy, but as I’ve seen more than one comment there with the same advice I’d assume this is true about YouTube’s algorithm
If you have premium account its even better. They give more revenue to the video but to those who have regular account please don't skip ads!! We in this together
