Pictures of cats. I've noticed that I take about a bazillion photos of cats. I have three cats and I take pictures of them whenever they are cute (which is most of the time) and if I'm bored. There will be pictures of my cats, other cats I decide to take pictures of, and cute cats I see on the internet.

Soooo a while ago I mentioned getting a new cat to you but never elaborated further lol. This is Nyx! She's a few months old (I think) and already so biggggg

She's supposed to grow to over double what she is now, and is already bigger then an average cat

When we got here though the breeder wasn't a very good one and all the cats there presumably have Feline flu and Corona, including her. So we have to keep her in quarantine away from our other cat cause he's 19 years old which is old for a cat, and getting either of those sicknesses could be fatal :(

But she's doing well! We just need to get the blood tests back to see if we can let her rome the house yet or not

Such a big kittyyyy

Here’s my cat Beezer (I don’t know what a Beezer is it just suits her somehow) in her happy place. She loves my backyard. She loves napping in the grass. She’s a bit grumpy and identifies as geriatric despite only being 6yo (almost 7yo). She’s always had the personality of a crotchety old fart. Even as a baby.

Here she is the day my parents found her. They thought she was roadkill until they got closer and she lifted her head. They immediately scooped her up and brought her home and then called me. I was actually in another state visiting a friend and would be gone for 2 more weeks. She was a pathetic little scrap.

This is her all when I finally met her. She’s still itty bitty but she’s not as scrawny and she’s much cleaner and no longer has fleas. First thing she did when she saw me was hiss at me and then stare at me like this.

She’s always been a bit strange. Her most favorite thing is this My Little Pony she found under my sister’s bed from when my sister was little. My sister thought she got rid of all her ponies and was surprised Beezer managed to find this one.

Beezer’s always been a bit slow to warm up to other cats and insists she’d prefer to be the only cat. At least until she finally warms up to another cat and loves the attention. But it usually takes her at least a year to get to that point. If she ever gets to that point.

Here she is with my kittens. She’s still only tolerating them here. She’s not being aggressive, but she’s still rather they not exist at all.

But she does warm up to other cats eventually as seen here with her sleeping right next to my sister’s cat. She’s getting much more comfortable with my boy Spidey but not yet sleeping next to him. I don’t have any pictures of them together because right now their relationship consists of running around playing with each other in the middle of the night.

And here’s Spidey. It was hard to find a recent picture of him without me or his (adoptive) sister Marbles in it. So here’s a goofy picture.

Here’s Spidey just after I pulled him out of a lilac bush. He was living under my neighbor’s house with his mom and littermates. His mom went off to hunt and he and his littermates decided to climb the nearby lilac bush. His littermates scrambled back under my neighbor’s house but Spidey was too slow.

I really didn’t have much of a plan so I ran out to a pet store and set him up in a puppy playpen in my closet while I tried to figure out how to trap the rest of his family. Unfortunately, I did not manage to get them but his mom moved his littermates into my garage. So I let him go back with his mom for another week while I prepared to trap them again. This time with a security cam to watch them so I could hide inside and not scare them off.

I tried again to trap them the next weekend but unfortunately momma had moved half the litter already. I set the trap and got momma and Spidey again but momma busted out of the trap and just left him. So I decided to keep him while I tracked down the rest of his family. I ended up reaching out to a rescue for help and it took another couple of weeks before we were finally able to get his littermates. But in the meantime they gave me another kitten named Marbles.

Marbles was found as a single kitten with her feral mom in a very rough neighborhood. She’s about a week and a half older than Spidey. She came to me about two weeks after I brought Spidey in for the second time after failing to trap his mom. She was very tiny and very afraid of everything. Much different than Spidey who feared nothing.

Despite Spidey being an absolute clown when they first met, he won Marbles over pretty quickly. He was very excited to have another kitten to play with and she was overwhelmed by his energy and the concept of play was foreign to her. I don’t think she’d ever seen another kitten before she met Spidey either. She was entirely overwhelmed and confused by him. But he’s good at causing overwhelm and confusion.

When Marbles first arrived she was bigger than Spidey even if he was a bit rounder. Marbles is on the left in this photo and Spidey is on the right.

But it wasn’t long before he surpassed her in size.

She’s currently overweight but we’re working on that. But she’s still just over half the size he is. And he’s about 1/3lbs overweight. Because he’s just big and she’s very petite. She’s 8lbs and her vet wants her between 6.5lbs and 7lbs. He’s 14.25lbs. She gained so much weight because I’ve been trying to find a way to feed them where they will eat the right amount of food and not make a mess and not get stressed about it. They won’t eat out of seperate dishes and Spidey has dietary sensitivities and neither likes wet food very much and they just are chaotic about food sometimes. But I’ve found a puzzle feeder that works for them and a food that they both like and will tolerate and I’ve found that they actually need a little bit less than the recommended amount on the bag and I’ve got a feeding chart so I’m hoping this will all work.

They really are inseperable. This photo is after Marbles’ spay and they were only together under supervision because I didn’t want Spidey being rough with her or licking her incision. They hated being seperated and she had a bit of a rough recovery. She was in a lot of pain. But she was so happy when I let him in to visit her.

She loves him even when he’s being an annoying brother and sleeping with his giant feet against her. He can be so annoying sometimes. He’s clueless that he’s bigger than she is. He still thinks he’s the size of a potato.

For every cat pic I post, there are probably ten good ones and at LEAST fifty bad ones I don't post for whatever reason. I do a thorough cull maybe every few months.

I can't delete any of the ones of Smooch or Sid or Raleigh or the Jeebers or any of the ones we helped last year. Hundreds of really bad pics just taking up space because they should get to take up space, still. I should have to make room for them, still. It is never enough, and never will be, and never should be.

If you want to respond with a bad (or good) pic of your own kitty for us to appreciate despite it being blurry or badly framed or your foot being in it or your room being a mess, please do. Here's space for them.

He moved. I forget what he was doing before he moved but he clearly moved from that and decided to clean himself instead.

Bro looks like a giant crushing his tiny sister. He is bigger than her but not THAT much bigger. He’s also not crushing her, she’s hiding underneath him.
