Foggy was arguably his closest friend and often, on less devilish occasions, his confidant and of course work partner. The last thing that Matt wanted is to lose him. In any of those capacities.
Before Foggy got out of bed, he thought about offering him a change of clothes but their suits are not exactly made to fit each other’s bodies.
Going in and out of the shower, he couldn’t help the myriad of thoughts that crossed his mind about how to handle their current situation the next time he sees Foggy again. Good thing that getting ready and dressed for work has now become a routine. He grabbed something quick from the fridge to eat, as per Foggy’s instructions.
Arriving at the office, hopefully not too late, he set a sandwich and some hard-boiled eggs down on Foggy’s desk while he was in a meeting with his client. A small aftercare gesture, if nothing else.
“Foggy, I uh..” Foggy was a hands-on kind of person and Matt would be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy it but now, being ushered by him into the bathroom, he was not expecting it. Still, he was far from resisting it. Even his buzzing phone wasn’t a big enough distraction if he needed one. He didn’t.
He tentatively kissed him back at first, unsure where this was going. He should know Foggy enough to know by now but even his senses couldn’t tell him if this was some sort of kiss goodbye. When Foggy spoke, he listened avidly and slowly but surely, a grin crawled back onto his face, laugh lines and all.
“I liked last night, as well. A lot.” He confessed too. Somehow this was easy, because it was Foggy. “I know you’re a full course meal, Fog, known that for years.” He took a sharper inhale and let it out before responding to the next part. The shower and the trip to the office wasn’t long enough for Matt to figure out how to bring this up with Foggy and here Foggy is, making it so easy for him. And in one sentence too. His grin showed the admiration he has for him.
“Yeah, Fog, I’m in.” He echoed the other’s vernacular. Part of him was excited to hear that Foggy shared more than carnal feelings for him and another part was slightly anxious about well, a work place relationship, as it were.
Curling his hand around the top of Foggy’s tie, he pulled him in for a passionate kiss. Being the proficient lawyer that he is, he added as a possible caveat, “I’ve told you about my past relationships and they weren’t exactly successful in the long-term.. I want this to work. This.. ‘us’.” Matt is aware of the possible danger he’s putting Foggy in but that’s a risk he’s willing to take.
The way Foggy felt about his friend and work partner, he knew that they couldn't exactly date without it being a conflict a interest, but something about the day that he met Matt Murdock, the world changed forever and he couldn't do anything about the feelings and emotions. So acting on them was something that he was tired of waiting on not to do. True Foggy was worried that it'd all blow up, but he couldn't not take the risk.
As got out of the bed he thought about the fact that they were going to definitely make this happen. He tried to think about his work day but it was tough, after he said his goodbyes to Matt, he was busy in meetings and noticed that his partner had made him some food. He smiled as a way to say thank you as the meeting was a little intense for the client he needed to focus, but he appreciated it.
Cut to the bathroom though he was focusing on Matt. He needed his lips on his, and he wasn't going to be bashful about taking charge when he needed them. "Shh, I'm here."
Finishing his speech about the fact that he wanted to make them a real couple. He was elated when Matt reacted well. "Yeah, I got the moves, I told you that day one of our law firm." He smirked then smiled.
“Welcome to the chaos of Foggy Nelson full time.” He shook his hand chuckling. He was excited for the perks of being in love and working with someone that cared about him.
Feeling the pull of the tie, he chuckled and kissed him back, then listened. “I'm not afraid Matt, you and me together, we can make it work.” He fixes his suit and Matt's suit to look less frazzled. "I love you. Let's go back to work, babe." He tapped his partner's ass pushing him out of the bathroom then going back into "Work Foggy" and chuckled. "I've always wanted to say that."
