A taste of my "The Song of Achilles" fanfic on Wattpad and AO3 called "this and this and this"
There was no way this was happening, not a chance.
Achilles had worked his behind off to get to where he is in his extra curricular activities (this is a complete lie, he's just gifted and shows up without a days worth of practice, but let's not tell him that), there was no way he was getting kicked off the team for something as stupid as homework.
It's not like he couldn't do it, he just had no desire to.
Who in their right mind wanted to sit down and focus on the bores of atoms when there was a Patroclus on the sofa just waiting for them? Answer: not Achilless.
He let out a big huff as he walked through their apartment door and dramatically flopped onto the sofa.
"Long day?", he heard Patroclus say softly from the kitchen.
"Too long." Achilles whined.
He heard Patroclus approach from behind with two mugs in his hands. He set one down on the table, and then ran his fingers through Achilless' hair as he leaned on the side of the sofa.
"Tell me about it." Patroclus said.
That's when the words erupted from Achilles' mouth, talking about how he was late becuase there were too many dogs on the way to class that he had to pet and how he had to redo an assignment becuase there was an error in the file and how he left his gym bag at home and had to sprint home from school to get it and then sprint back for track meet which once he got there he found out was cancelled anyway and how his coach told him he was off all teams if he missed another assignment since for some reason it was always his files for the same moody teacher that always seemed to be corrupted and-
"Achilles, take a breath. That sounds like one heck of a day." Patroclus soothed him up right and slipped behind him, a brush in one hand ("Wait when did you even get that?"), and his other untying his hair.
"I'm sick of Agamemnon, that jerk always just happens to do something to my files and says I have to redo the whole thing. I've tried handing in the same project again, but he still marks them late! He's a right cun-" Achilless almost finished before Patroclus interrupted him. "Darling, don't dwell too much, we can go to the head office tomorrow and sort this out alright? Just close your eyes love." Patroclus said in that lovely calm voice that was like butter against the tight knots of Achilles' back.
The sound of Patroclus slowly running the brush down the waterfall of golden silk that grew from Achilles' scalp filled the room.
Blood ran and swirled in his scalp and it washed away the stress of another day.
Gently, patroclus tied it into a soft braid that sat over Achilles' shoulder, just the way Achilles liked it.
It took him a moment to see the lovely crimson ribbon that had been woven into the chain, oh how the light reflected off of it, causing it to look like a stream of wine.
Achilles turned to face Patroclus, gave him a greatful smile and leaned against him.
Patroclus maneuvered them into a more comfortable position, where Achilles rested on his shoulder while he himself sat cross-legged.
Careful not to disturb his sluggish boyfriend, Patroclus reached for the TV remote and selected "Kiki's Delivery Service", resuming from halfway, where they had left off the night before.
Patroclus knew Studio Giblee movies always calmed Achilles, and rightfully so.
Just when Patroclus thought Achilles had finally dosed off, he heard a small, barely audible, "Thank you." from bellow his chin.
He felt like someone just plunged his heart into a sea of warm tea and honey. Patroclus looked over to his other half, and felt a small smile burn onto his lips.
It will be this, always, for as long as he will let me. Patroclus thought, before he rested his own head against Achilles', and joined him in soft snores.
How was that? This is my first ever fan fic, so be gentle lol. I would love some requests as of right now, since I don't have very many ideas at all to be completely honest.
