How did this come to be? Well I'm glad you asked. There's a perfectly logical reason.

I heard a conversation between Iron Man and someone else in Marvels Rivals where Tony called himself caustic. I haven't heard the word before, so I googled it. Apparently, it can also mean the way that light refracts through an uneven surface like a magnifying glass (that way you can burn things, hence the name) or the surface of water. The moving water surface creates a pattern of uneven rings on the ground beneath. That made me think of a random tumblr post I've seen the day before with a picture of a seal whose fur imitates the pattern of the water surface.

The area of my brain in charge of puns activated and said "hehe, that means the seal is caustic" as in it can be a sarcastic little bitch like Tony Stark because it has a cool fur pattern. So I drew a crappy beard on the picture of the seal, laughed about it and called it a day....

Until the next day, where I was bored out of my mind in a uni class and decided to draw something. The seal was still on my mind, so I started with a vaguely seal shaped blob and kinda mindlessly added colours, trying to copy the reference pic. And suddenly it looked amazing in the end??? Why am I only capable of drawing something with good colours when I don't think about what I'm doing?

I started drawing this after I saw @famous-aces post about Marilyn Monroe. The blog is amazing and opened up my eyes to a history of awesome ace people I've never realised before! Keep up the good work my friend.

You did a very good job inspiring me since I almost drew this in one go. Then the face and hair just wouldn't look right and I let it rest for a tiny while. Well, only five months later I'm finally done.

What happens when I experiment in a new medium that involves colours? Sooner or later there will be something Pride themed!

This was really easy to make, so I decided to show my process!

First I drew a heart on some paper and decided where the lines for the stripes will be. Then cut out the individual pieces and trace them onto your fabric. I used felt since it's easy to buy in DIN A4 sheets. It should work with about any fabric though. Don't forget to leave seam allowance on every edge!

Sew the stripes together untill you have two sides. They should be identical but also mirror each other!

On the left you can see the two finished sides, one seam side up, one right side up. Put them together with the seam side out and sew around the edge. Leave a gap wide enough turn it right side out. It's up to you where you want it, I chose the bottom of the purple part because it has a nice long edge. My gap was a little short though, which made the turning part tricky. Before you go to the next step, clip any excessive pieces of seam allowance (green, recommended) and the top part (red, necessary) to make the turning part easier. (Take great care not to cut any seams)

Turn it inside out and stuff to your liking! Make sure that the seams are all visible from outside, only then is it properly turned. I always use a pencil to help.

The last step is the trickiest since you have to do it per hand. You can use a sewing machine up to this point (it'll make your life so much easier) but not to close the heart. This is called a ladder stitch. You basically zig zag from side to side and then pull to close it. If you're new to ladder stitching, better look for a tutorial on the internet, there are so many who explain it much better than I could here. Tie off your thread and you're done!

The base idea of this is to make two identical shapes to sew together at the edges. You can choose any shape with any colours and even make both sides different flags. How about an ace of clubs with an aro backside? A lesbian Star? A bisexual cat with a trans backside?

I couldn't resist this fabulous Jiji pattern by Choly Knight. I used thin felt material because it was easily available at my local arts & craft shop. I had to pay attention not to put too much strain on it but other than that it worked really well.

Sewing on the nose was a nightmare because I couldt get it to be even, so now he looks like he's about to sneeze.

He can sit rather stable because I put some stones I found outside into the stuffing to act as counterweight for the head.

I murdered some old jeans and made my very first plushie!!

Every last stitch is hand made since I don't have a sewing machine.

Look who finally figured out how to make a timelapse! It only took a badass robot lady to make me drop everything and start drawing. I made this all in one go. Real time are 3-4 hours.
