Writing to change

This blog is the result of a personal frustration that comes out from the feeling that our world is getting to the wrong direction. It is also the result of the will to share thoughts with people from every corner of this earth, to show that what matters the most is the common man, not the elites. I'm a historian, throughout my studies I've always learned about wars, politics, deads and elites, but I've always felt that I was missing something. That something is humanity!

Some old story

So here we are agaian….another war is raging in Yemen. Most people don’t even know where Yemen actually is, or even what’s going on there. But the truth is that that Yemen became another sad plot on the geopolitical scene. You could ask yourselves why? It’s easy. Interests of two big powers (in this case Saudi Arabia and the Sunni world+USA against Iran) are bringing the normal people into a new whirlpool of death and blood. In who’s name I ask myself? According to the mainstream media, to defend the legally elected president Hadi. Well, how’s that that the world superpowers do protect the legally elected presidents only when they decide what is legal? And where is the UN? This conflict seems once again like somethign that is not even happening on our planet, or even worse, it’s not even considered important. Well, it’s the some old story you know, people keep on dying and the world is doing nothing. How can we change that? At least let’s talk about!

Anger

I feel anger. No, I'm not angry...I just feel anger. I'm getting tired of seeing people suffering everyday in the name of nothing. I feel anger. I just can't stand it anymore. Why do we talk of "nations" and "people" when two countries are fighting? How can we say that whole "nations" are at war, when war is something made be the politicians? Yes, war has been existing probably since forever. Actually scientists don't know when the human race started engaging in this filthy game. I said game? Yes. It is so sad to see so many young people playing war games, not understanding that war is not a videogame, where you can lose and then get a new life. I was one of them. I loved war games, sometimes it still gives me adrenaline that make a person feel good while playing Medal of Honor or any other game. Still, there's not a single way that I'm gonna ever be a soldier. Soldiers fight, they could have their ideals, morals and whatever, but they are taught not to think. Chaplin said they are cattle. Indeed, they are cattle. Today war is becoming even more a video game played by people in some hidden offices, controlling drones and firing at the bad guys. What happens when the bad guy is a baby? What happens when a nation, like Israel insists that they have the right given to them by God to get whatever they want in their "holy land"? How can anything be negotiated when such a dogmatic point of view is the base of a whole country? If there is such God that allows things like that happen, well...I'd rather go to hell. I feel anger. I feel it because there are so many reasons, so many situations and so many things that make people kill each other that they can't rationally be explained. I feel anger. I feel like this because I look around myself and all I can see is people willing to die for their country. Funny. Die for a piece of land where we were born by accident. I'm sorry, it was God. Millions of people died in the name of their God and country. Still, many of those Gods and countries do not exist anymore. History teaches us, its only that we are not able to learn. I feel anger. I feel it due the simple fact that we could live happily by each other, sharing our goods and values without big problems. Still, we give our lives in the hands of people that can't look beyond their greedy and their money. Weber said it is because of charism of our leaders that we are willing to die. Maybe. Maybe it is just easier to follow than using our brains. I feel anger. I feel it because I feel small. Here in my room I watch the world and the only thing I can do to make this world a better place is to write. I know I'm not alone, so I question myself: who are those that are not reading? I feel anger. I would like to say many other thins that need to be said, but for tonight it will be ok like that.

Actually, I don't really know if this is possible, or even if there will be anyone reading what I'm gonna post here....but hey, I have always been a dreamer and there's nothing wrong with being one as long as you give all of yourself for the cause you are willing to spill your last drop of blood. 

So here I'm, ready to take on this new adventure on this blog. Here you are gonna find opinions on politics, international relationships, geopolicy, human rights, economy and so on. Should anyone have the same interests, it will be a pleasure for me if you  contact me:)
