When you move into another realm. That it may take you spinning from one circle to another.
You align closer with others, new and exciting. Older relations change and perhaps fade with time. Everything at once soups and drains, take the broth or have the solids.
Are we that different now? End of an era.

I do this music project, called CONJVR and I work at a slow pace.

LIMBS
Cutting off limbs. Still feeling the phantoms. Those begotten limbs begin to linger more sweetly then the sour tastes they had when full of blood.
I have this strong sense of nostalgia or reminiscing. I often think the past has some vital clues about my growth as a person. I want to revisit ideas and perceptions, to see where I could hold more grace.
The limbs were a setting of boundaries, which extended far beyond the obvious. If it was a person who betrayed me, I took them out of my life and influence and with them, our closest links. There was always other people involved and now they walk like ghosts in my life.
We knew each other in such certain ways, yet when I see a ghost, they stay a ghost.
I get curious, the nostalgia begins to come on strong and I wonder how they are, wonder if they are curious also.
But the severing is hard and essential until I have no room to miss the phantom limbs.

104th street gave me a morning.
I’m sitting between two women who straddle my past. Both at that very moment associated with beloved businesses. Surely there was something to it on that morning. That warm early May morning.
The smoke was in the air, you could smell it and thankfully, not feel it burn you.
Up north where thousands, tens of thousands flee their homes to safety from not metaphorical fire but real blazing heat. Perhaps the ultimate lesson learned was setting aside differences for the common good.
Be it businesses or humanity.
I beginning to see past it all. Past the past. I can stand and I can sit in close proximity and every petty matter fades into the background.
Internal and external fires.
I smell the rain.

For about six years I have collaborated with a local photographer, Sandy Phimester, who I have almost exclusively worked with. Collaboration, when it comes to photography, has always been a key to some great images I later reflect on.
Why I do them, is not entirely known, only that I have always had a fascination with still images and what they had conveyed to me. Those photos that moved feelings in me and wanting to then keep them in my memory, to somehow later use when working out the landscapes in my mind.

True North
What steers you in your right direction?
The True North direction.
Realizing the component in your life that makes you have the inner guide and the “drive” to keep focused in your goals and ambitions?
The Fire that burns within you.
Is it numbers? Is it acquisition? Is it fruition? Uncomplicated and natural, what has been a fascination from the beginning of your time, experiencing it in different ways as you grow older. The pleasure of maturation.
Experiences of the senses. What moved you, if only by emotion?
